Large, home cooked food with a real range from home breaded whitebait, scampi and calamari through to 4 different pies including steak and venison. Lovely food, great environment (3 beers on draft) and have visited a couple of times since first visit.

Best steak pie I've had in a long time, top quality cheesecake to finish.

Nice pub hiden in countryside with not bad view from beer garden. Been there couple of times and every time I enjoyed it. Food is delicious,beers are fresh. Table service as well. You got that warm ,cozy feeling when you in,relaxed atmosphare is what you can find here. Both times when I visited i didnt book table but I would recomend to book as i get bussier over weekends.

Beautiful setting and tasty, homemade food and drink. We were a large group (16 plus - we had given them advance warning) but this prevented no problem at all. Service was great and we all were able to eat together. Highly recommended. Thank you.

A really characterful pub in a beautiful rural location. The steak pie was particularly good with gravy to match, vegetables were cooked properly. Deserts were very good, my wife said it was the best Bakewell tart ever, I had apple & rhubarb crumble with custard, gorgeous.

Father’s Day surprise, glad we booked, the selection of starters were excellent . Three of us had the Sirloin Steak, the best steak we have had in a long time, cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. The host Allan and the girls /John serving were excellent and nothing was too much trouble and a massive Thankyou to Diane for such beautiful food . Caroline x

Bit more expensive than I would have expected,but good food. Nice service from an older gentleman, he was nice to fit us in for food when they were closing the kitchen. Beautiful surroundings , recommended!
