Always look forward to my breakfasts in the cafe. Friendly staff and dog friendly too.

The cafe allows dogs inside the cafe as well as at picnic tables outside, which in November was great. (They have a towel to rub your dog down in the entry way if they are very wet or muddy like our Labrador was!) Service was friendly and quite quick, although being a November weekday outside of school holidays the cafe was fairly quiet.

Nice place for a dinner and a walk

The staff very kindly made us a tasty picnic to go as we were going on a walk around Kielder Water. We returned later in the day for a delicious caffe latte and enjoyed a tour of the Lodge.

Great selection of cakes. Plenty of nice outdoor seating. Indoors was a bit dark though. Great location.

Gluten free menu! An unexpected surprise to find a full gf menu with some desserts in there too. Lovely staff who were very attentive when I told them I was severely allergic. The lady who served me was Coeliac herself so we had a good chat about it!

If visiting the area it is definitely worth a stop. Food good, service excellent. They have a live screen of the osprey nest.

We only had hot drinks but staff were nice & welcoming even though we were wet from a bike ride. Decent cup of tea and service with a smile. Didn't eat but food looked good.
