Our room was clean and warm, water was hot, and with toiletries provided. It is on the A35, but sound-proofing is surprisingly well, one can't hardly hear the traffic when windows were shut. The restaurant has become a Greggs, so no more free breakfast. You need to get the room key from the cashier of Greggs, and ask them for WiFi password. There is a petrol station next door and they have a convenience store there. Axminster is just 10 minutes away, with some good choices for dinner. Overall, the motel is ideal for an overnight rest on the road.

Good little place as a pit stop. Felt a bit like a little chef in the old days, still quite pleasant. Food was tasty after doing some Fossil hunting earlier in the day. The lady behind the till was friendly and helpful :) Our party had the double cheese burgers and chips and was happy with them. Would go again if ever over that way again.

What a gem of a place! We stopped here on Christmas Eve & so pleased that we did, the service from the staff was no short of excellent - the ladies were all so smiley and friendly! The drinks we ordered were excellent and we even received some complimentary homemade biscuits. I don’t understand why so many other comments/reviews are poor and giving this place 1*? Complaining it’s “too expensive” yet I don’t doubt you would all happily feed the same amount of money (if not more) into a large corporation? Let’s stop complaining about the real people trying to make a living and help them out please! Please don’t hesitate to come here/be put off by any negative feedback - it’s a wonderful little pit stop on your journey, would highly recommend :)

A great cafe and a proper 'greasy spoon'. Great breakfasts and that is getting hard to find these days! Most recently had a Ploughman's and it was great- spicy marinated pickles, homemade sweet pickle, great ham and cheese. You would not think you could get such nice food in such a basic little place! When we drive down to Devon, as routes can vary, we literally try to make sure we pick up the A35 Pit Stop if we possibly can! The staff are always friendly too and the food is always out pronto, so if you don't want to stop for too long or don't want to gamble on hungry children getting restless, you know you can stop here and still get a good meal.

My daughter and me stayed in a twin room last night. On arrival we were told where to park and what time breakfast was (we didn't think breakfast was included, so that was a lovely surprise!) Our room was warm, and comfortable, really good tea in our room, (as well as instant coffee,) and a nice big bathroom with bath and shower, towels and toiletries included. Breakfast was very good - really nice quality bacon, sausage and egg, plus generous on the butter for the toast, and massive sauce sachets! (We shared one brown sauce sachet between three of us, as my friend joined us - we paid for her breakfast separately, obviously.) It is a roadside cafe and motel, not a hotel or BnB, but it was friendly, comfortable, and warm. We slept well, and ate a delicious breakfast. We will stay again. Thankyou.

A lovely roadside cafe on the A35, only called in for a quick bite to eat while driving. My sausage & bacon sandwich was cooked fresh and tasted lovely. Can imagine the plated breakfasts are amazing if the roll was anything to go by! Highly recommend

Rather like stepping back to the 60's. Large restaurant. Had baked beans on a jacket potato. Good portion served with small salad. Some people may be put off by the presentation. My wife had a cheese sandwich, bread past it's best. Nice cappuccino. Good facilities, toilets and shower. Large car park by petrol station. Extensive menu.

We did not stay in the rooms how ever my friends have on a few occasions & they told me they are simple rooms but are very comfortable & have all you would need for good nights sleep 💤. I had breakfast there & that was very nice a little bit of a wait but it was very busy it tasted yummy 😋 & was very reasonable with good coffee too, defo recommended
