Dobbies Garden Centre Kings Lynn

Very nice garden centre with a very large cafe area and a decent soft play area for the little people. Sampled the lunch menu and had the soup with a choice of sandwiches, nicely surprised with the quality of the soup and plenty of filling in the lovely fresh sandwiches all at a decent price. There appears to be plenty of good offers on without the store.

Restaurant busy today not enough staff again today, decided to have one of the lunch offers, food great but queues horrendous waiting approx 30 minutes in the queue to even order food. People jumping the queue to pay as only having cold snack option, so making things worse as only one cashier available and that was on the hot food counter, we spoke to the manager he just said short of staff and disappeared again. The food was great when we got it but very stressed by this point so unable to relax and enjoy it. Both myself and my husband are pensioners with health issues so we will not be repeating the experience again.

My partner and I go here somewhat regularly to look around the garden centre and eat in the restaurant. The food is fine, the surroundings quite nice, and the selection is normally pretty good. The best thing, without a doubt, is the staff. They are very helpful, friendly and good humoured - even in the face of what seem to be a stream of not particularly pleasant customers. They keep us coming back!

I love afternoon tea so was delighted to find Dobbies does vegan afternoon teas! It was very nice (although we had to take some scones home because we were too full). The staff were lovely and nothing seemed too much bother. We were greeted with smiles and taken to our table. They asked if I wanted soy or oat milk straight away. One of our party (who doesn't drink tea) was offered a cold drink instead of tea, which was a pleasant surprise. We phoned ahead to ask if we could move our booking from 2:30 to 3:30 and they were happy to help. All in all 👍 Will be back!
