Lovely venue for my parents golden wedding celebrations �. Good size hall, plenty of room. The buffet was great, all fresh good taste and got to say a big thank you to Kim, the lady that helped organise everything, was there to meet us from early afternoon to decorate, right through to late evening, making sure everything was ok � a asset to your lovely pub, all other staff very nice, fully recommended to have a function here. Nothing too much trouble �
We booked for Sunday lunch for 3 people. As it was very warm, opted for something lighter, Cheese and ham ploughman's, prawn cocktail and homemade scotch egg and the meals did not disappoint. Food was lovely and fresh with the best ever bread!. And a beautiful garden to enjoy as well, with a great singer adding to a lovely setting. Well done to the staff, totally professional even in this heat.
First time visited as camping locally. Read reviews and appears to have changed hands back in 2017, now advertising home cooked food. On entering the language at the bar was rather fruity (swearing) however once seated was very cosy. Lots of fairy lights dotted around. Limited menu but something for everyone at reasonable prices. Good drinks selection and a lovely NZ Sauvignon Blanc. Its not waitress service, you order at the bar. Generous portions of which were lovely, however we were not offered a dessert menu so assume only starters and mains. Would not hesitate to return.
Fantastic night at the boogie bingo great atmosphere really friendly staff and an excellent night all round. Looking forward to trying the food there and will definitely be back for more boogie bingo 😁
Had a lovely meal tonight at the Queens Head. As a non-vegetarian I still went for the veggie lasagne as I love aubergines! It was delicious! Hubby went for the wings and ribs and the portion was huge. Atmosphere in the pub was great as always xx ❤️
We had the best experience at this beautiful place! The food was the best Iv had in a long time! The staff are all so lovely! The chef was top notch! Honestly I don’t understand the bad reviews as I have nothing but praise for the place!! The landlady was so lovely, telling us the gluten free options etc the pub itself was stunning! Good prices for beautiful food. We will deffo be back thank you for such a lovely experience and great food! ❤️
Lovely food friendly atmosphere. We were a large group of 13 and did a pre order everything cooked freshly. Would definitely recommend. Thankyou
Nice Sunday lunch with the family, although I doubt the roast lamb and beef were fresh,more like ready carved from brake bros
Great local pub, busy when we went but lots of tables available and a pub garden 🏡
Husband and I booked in for a roast and it did not disappoint. The presentation was lovely, hot and tasty and the service was great.
It is also a bonus for us, as it is dog friendly.
Will definitely be back soon.
