Friendliest welcome I’ve had from a pub in many a day.
Excellent baguettes, fine ales, wood burner, comfy seats.

Had a fab Sunday Roast today. We arrived at around 14.15 and sat in the bar at our choice, we were made very welcome. Plenty to eat and cooked to perfection. Thoroughly enjoyable. Thanks to the staff of Sandygate Inn
Popped in for some lunch, really warm welcome from the staff. We sat in the beer garden which is larger than I thought it would be. Great area for families. We had tapas and some dirty fries and we're not disappointed at all.
Would highly recommend even if just popping in for a quick half.
On holiday seeing family, always come to this pub, lovely atmosphere, brilliant for the kids. We always go out the back bar where they have a kids toy box with my kids love and means we are out of the way and the kids can play. Food is lovely and really good portion sizes. My son wanted mac and cheese which wasn't on the kids menu, however they split it in 2 for both my kids and did different sides then advertised. The staff are lovely and really accomidating and will most certainly be back. Highly recommend.
The food was well presented and excellent value for money. A very friendly landlady who is passionate about her pub. Lots of events. We will visit again.
Lovely friendly atmosphere, great food especially as very reasonably priced. Salads are delicious. Great selection of veg with the roasts and beef was really tender. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend .
This pub has a good-sized beer garden, out the back.
The cheese ploughman's was massive and great value for money.
They seemed short of staff, but this did not affect the service in any way.

Lovely, friendly family pub with a nice sized garden and parking available across the road. Not many of these pubs about anymore give it a visit. 😀

We did not have any food but the service we received at the bar was friendly and prompt. Sitting in the beer garden was a first for us and very enjoyable.
Great night out, really good buffet laid on and they sell Inches cider, one of my favourites. Good bar staff very attentive. All in all a fabulous pub
