The Lion & Key - Kingston-upon-Hull - Photo album

A lovely and characterful pub in Hills old cobbled High St. Was recommended to go there for lunch by someone at a local museum I visited. It's an old and impressive building. You will see the inside by viewing my photos. It had a nice relaxed vibe and I received a friendly welcome from the young lad
Ordered fish and chips, highly recommended. They also have some good beers, unfortunately the selection of draft is ordinary flat and not so chrispy with bubbles🙃 but super good taste 😆
Loved the food, lots of it. Staff are friendly and we liked the ambience of the place. Decently priced menu, drinks as well. Interesting decor, not too modernised just felt good. Car park very close (£1 an hour). We were visiting Hull and liked the area the pub was in.
Looks a nice place. Food reasonable and some great classics. Beer very good indeed. Only thing I don't like is the actual paying double for a double - quite old fashioned approach and pushes up the price quite a bit if you have a thirsty gin-loving wife.
Nice pub located in the old town of Hull. Interior was very characterful with beer mats lining the ceiling and other items on shelves. We ordered fish and chips which arrived in reasonable time. Perfect portion for lunchtime and felt full enough after. Would visit again.
Lovely pub. Great service. Very nice beers. There are some very nice pubs in this area of Hull. They often get forgotten about but for me this is the nicest part of town and the Lion and Key is one of the best pubs.
Great place to visit for beer and food. Staff are always friendly. Next time I will have to try something other than fish and chips but they are really good.
Visited Hull Old Town today and so glad we did as it's a great olde area. Found this very traditional "boozer" and it's full of character and serves great food too .... I went for Hull Patty (can't beat 2 different ways to have potatoes .... except by adding more) and chips and was not disappointed.
Went here whilst I was staying up in Hull. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Good prices as well, but I'm used to London so everything send cheap. The food was exactly what you would expect and portion sizes where just right. The old town of Hull has so many pubs to go to. If you visit this one yo
Great food and a lovely pub, very cosy inside with lots of memorabilia. The food waiting time was a bit long but no complaints once arrived. Sadly no draft cider available and bizarrely no apple cider in bottles either ( only pear or fruit). Limited draft lagers on draft as well. But will definitely
The Lion & Key is a lovely, cosy space with fantastic fish and chips. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Additionally, the decor is unique, and the space is warm and inviting. It’s an excellent place for a meal or for a quick drink. It’s conveniently located with easy access to the rest of t
Love the coaster decor. Great spot for a drink and I've heard great things about their fish n chips
What a great place, can't fault it 😁 Service was great, very welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere is great and even though I am a new customer it feels like it's my local already 😂 Food was fantastic we had the Chippy Special which was brilliant but if you go for a salad expect a HUGE salad. Servi
Popped in here for a quick drink. The decor is proper quirky, loads of stuff to look at in this pub. There must be thousands of beer mats of the ceiling
Great service very comfortable considering how many customers were in there, good beer too, highly recommended. Stairlift to heaven, cracking pint.
Really enjoyed a Haddock Goujon lunch today. Read some negative reviews before visiting the Lion & Key, which happen to be totally inaccurate. Good quality, freshly cooked food and excellent choice of beers. I really don't mind paying a few quid more to get good food and service.
My favourite pub in hull for Food atmosphere and general all Round pleasantness - consultant high standards and plenary of section of ales
Popped in on the off-chance we could find a table and have a few drinks before finding a restaurant close by. The pub was lovely and the menu looked appealing so we decided to try it out. We weren't disappointed, it was fabulous and some of the best fish I've ever had. The pub looks great and we lo
