Dope Burger

Saw this on google maps, and had chicken bao buns and a spicy fried chicken burger last night. Spectacular food, all cooked fresh, and all staff so polite and helpful. Best street food I've had in ages, and the wife was gobsmacked with the flavour. She's never had anything close to that before. Thank you and well done.

Nang Chicken was a place I was really excited about visiting as I seen a review by the Food Review Club who were raving about it. I ordered the Beef Bulgogi and Chicken Thigh pieces. I tried the beef bulgogi first which in all honesty was the dish I was looking forward to the most from the review. I have to say I wasn't blown away by it. It wasn't that tender, it had too much sauce and had these cubes of brisket instead of what was featured on the review. Gutted it wasn't what I'd hoped it would be. But the Chicken thigh pieces were gorgeous. Really nice coating both batter and glaze, really tasty and great value for money hence the fours stars. The English chap serving was excellent by the way. Really hope I just caught it on a bad night but will try again to make sure.

Unbelievable food cooked in front of you. Very cheap and extremely tasty. Two very charming lads that are eager to talk about the history of the place and their recipes. The brisket is to die for. I am so happy we found this place and will go on record as the best takeaway food I have ever eaten. Welll done boys and see you tonight for more chicken. Ten out of ten. Xx

Strongly recommended this place! The food is packed full of unique flavours unlike anything else in the city. Had the chicken thighs, crispy, sticky and coated in a spicy sauce, with the perfect garnish. The salt and pepper fries are the best in hull, make sure they’re on your order! The food arrived piping hot and within 30 minutes, cant grumble at that. You can tell these guys are proud chefs by the quality of the food i was served. I will definitely make this my weekly treat!

A taxi driver recommendation is not something to be taken lightly. My advice: You’ll need napkins... lots of napkins. The burgers here will never be mistaken for the warm dry offerings by the King or under the Golden Arches. No, these are American style smashed burgers cooked on hot surface under a cover to steam them properly. As you can see the result is gloriously dripping with that moist conglomeration of beef dripping melded with essence of crisp maple bacon and mayonnaise. Resist the temptation to go for the esoteric concoctions with esoteric azure fromage and suchlike. Start your journey with a Smoked Dope burger. You’ll be back for more, just don’t forget the napkins.
