Had the set meals; portions were very ample and very hot, Starter was 2 huge meatballs and tagliatelle. Then mainmeal Beef Stroganoff was gorgeous with rice or mash, with side dishes of veg. Potatoes or chips. Yummy! Dessert hot fudge brownie with cream, with a coffee afterwards. Had a lovely night and even though I won the meal in a fb comp we with definitely be going back. Staff were courteous and couldn't do enough. Oh and glass of wine included.
Been going here for years. Fantastic food, great service and lovely atmosphere. Would recommend it to anyone.

We had a fantastic meal, we both had fish dishes and the fish was cooked beautiful and could tell it was very fresh! Would highly recommend. Service was brilliant and staff very friendly! Not expensive for such good quality food! You pay for what you get!!
A real gem in Hull. The food is wonderful and the staff is both attentive and efficient. Asked for a special Italian dish (Putanesca) not on the menu, and they were delighted to prepare it for me. It came out perfect. My guests both had fish and they raved about it. If you like Italian, you will find no better place in Hull than at Paolo's.
Walked about hull for maybe an hour trying to find a place to eat. A few people suggested here. Looks like a pub, but has the quality of a restaurant. The staff are polite and attentive. The food is out of this world good. Could not fault the place.
We had our wedding meal here. It was so lovely. The food was amazing the staff are so lovely. They could not do enough to help and make us happy...we are going back every anniversary.. I can not say enuoght about this place....everyone was happy and enjoyed the service and food. .... they made our day xxxx
We went in as a group of 8, opening time 12pm sat 14th dec, although not many in at this early time I thought it was a cracking place. The bar staff especially a young pregnant woman were very talkative and up for a laugh, asking where we were from and our plans for the day, I know they weren't busy but she made the effort, well done 👍
