This is a proper chippy. I ordered a regular fish, chips, peas & scraps. Everything was as a traditional chip shop should be. The chips had plenty of colour, fish cooked to perfection with lovely batter, lots of mushy peas and scraps. I'm stuffed and there's still lots left. Could easily share between 2 people and only cost £10. The staff are really friendly too.
They've been doing this for over 30 years and it shows. If there's a better chippy in Hull I haven't found it.

Fish and chips that are consistently amongst the very best in the country and I enthusiastically sample fish and chips wherever I go. I count myself very lucky to live within a few minutes walk of this chippy! And yes it's still the best by far!

We go out of our way to purchase our takeaway from Cave Street fisheries. Definitely considered by our family as the best fish shop in Hull. Best to check online if it's open prior to visiting as they opening hours can change from what's advertised outside the shop.

Never mind whiteheads in Hornsea! Visited this place for the first time today fish and chips were excellent. Reminds me of how fish and chips were cooked decades ago. The Mrs was well impressed.

Best fish and chips I've ever had. They also had quality recommendations on the best museums and marinas in Hull - honestly changed our perception on what a fish can be. Goated with the sauce!!!
