The Friary - Kingston-upon-Hull - Photo album

A nice little fish and chip shop on whitefriergate. The staff are always pleasant and friendly, and the service is quick when I have been there. They have always had plenty of fish chips, patties, and spam fritters cooked already. The patties are particularly nice. I have always enjoyed the fish and
The battered sausage was exquisite. In addition, the chips were real and fresh. I would recommend.
Proper traditional chippy, delicious chips and battered sausage and total bill came to about £2!
Quite the find these days, a great local chippy that sells a flavoursome fish supper for a great price. We were lucky enough to sit outside in the sun last time we went, but if you have plans to do pick up be ready to relocate because there isn't space inside - that's the only pointer!
Awesome fish and chips at a reasonable price. If you haven't been it is worth the visit for a bit to eat or even lunch.
Lovely fish & chips, no over charging & lovely staff. Sausage chips & gravy is lush too. PS, everything cooked fresh, so may have to wait, but worth it!
Love this place and the fact they have their own outside seating is a major bonus for me, it's difficult for people like myself to eat on "the run" with baggage and a walking stick. The disability conscious attitude is very much appreciated.❤️
We was visiting hull for the day and had Great fish & chip here very fresh and tasty also very reasonable prices for the big portions you get
Good fish and chips with very good price. There is no space in the restaurant for sitting.
Proper decent chippy. Proper chippy and really decent quality food. What else can be said? Highly Recommend. Miles better than Golden Fry and Carvers.
We ordered fish and chips with mushy peas. They didn't have onion vinegar bottled but he poured us some from the pickled onion jar. It was the Best ever fish. It was so fresh. I was there for a graduation and have returned to London. need to go back to Hull just for their fish and chips.
Been staying in Hull centre for 3 week's and just fancied a proper chippy tea, thank you very much the friary. Fish, chips and curry for £3.95. hmmm beautiful. Thanks 😊
Seriously I was a fan of Bob Carvers but its not what it used to be, but The Friary is brilliant. It's not the biggest but the food is top notch. The staff are friendly and very helpful, serious my youngest grandson says no to a McDonalds and prefers The Friary.
Nice fish buttie. Good choice of food from this chippy. Limited seating outside but still good. Busy shopping area around you.
