Had the best Fish and chip special today was bigger and better then most places med fish and chips. Fish cooked to order so fresh and hot as well would highly recommend
Lovely chippy. My haddock was fresh and delicious. We sat in and the service was quick and friendly.
The upstairs is a little dated, but the food more than made uo for it.

Fish and chips freshly fried in vegetable oil and very very tasty.
We sat upstairs and a staff member came up to ask if everything was ok which was a nice touch.

A really nice fish and chip shop in the centre of Hull next to Victoria Square this chip shop is very popular. You can eat in there is seating upstairs. The patties a hull speciality are excellent and I always enjoy the chips from here.
Great place for fish and chips and mushy peas.
We had fish and chips our grandchildren had sausage and chips to eat inside, the food was excellent. The staff were very good. As we were the only ones inside it was a little quiet will go again
Food was great and service even better! The lady who served us could not accommodate any more with us being a large group with 2 small children. Kept both children very happy! Would definitely visit again!

I took my southerner friend for her first time trying a Pattie and some chip spice! The gentleman behind the counter let her sample some chips with spice in before committing to putting it on her meal. You don't get that in many places these days. It was a misrable day
A real English ‘chippy’, serving authentic fish and chips at a reasonable price given the portion size.
The haddock was delicious; batter, perfect. The chips were genuine and not the wheat dusted, flavoured, crispy things served by so many. Mushy peas were... mushy peas!

Daughter took husband and I here while we were visiting Hull, and the place was clean, airy and the food was wonderful. The fish was haddock and was batter light and crispy, not greasy and the chips were delicious too. Good old pots of tea, bread and butter. Good value for money as meal was filling.
Traditional chippy with a restaurant above. Been a customer of the golden fry for probably 20 years or more. Food is excellent, staff are friendly and helpful.
Building needs some refurbishment, but I note it the business appears to be up for sale, so unlikely to happen.
