I had no idea this place existed, but am very happy I stumbled across it. Really nice atmosphere, with a good beer selection. To make it even better, they have one of THE best board game selections I have ever seen. I will be back… often!

We didn't eat but our latte was luke warm. I'm trained in making great coffee so might be judging harshly but this was all froth, gone in 2 mouthfuls and was no where near 65-70 degrees. It was fairly priced though and in fairness I didn't bring it to the attention of the waitress, who was pleasant enough when she served us. The cafe was cold and the toilets were not very appealing: no handle on door to get in/out. Overall a little disappointing.

Good mocca, good service. I love the atmosphere. Great independent coffee shop. Just the right distance from the hustle and bustle of the city centre for a little walk.

Love the relaxing and friendly atmosphere ! Had literally just got into Hull for a mini break, found this place and Bren was awesome!! thankyou so much Bren for all your advice and also interest in what we had to say …. will be highly recommending anyone to come into this little place x in fact I’d bet it’s as good as the tourist info centre for recommending the best places in Hull and we will be back for coffee and a beer and advise friends to pop in xxx

Love it here - great coffee and a small but well chosen selection of beer as well as some interesting soft drinks. They regularly have mini exhibitions of interesting stuff on their walls and a great stock of board games to play while hanging out (still sad that the Boardroom is no more, but glad they've kept its spirit alive to some extent here!) Friendly staff and a nice relaxed atmosphere, well worth a visit!

Never been before, it was a very nice experience, the building was tastefully decorated, had a lovely ambience, modern and a good choice of beers and coffees. Definitely worth a visit.
