I would say this is the best chippy in Hull! Fish is beautifully cooked and fresh! I love the taste of the chips. £7.90 for large fish and chips and £5.90 for small. I would say that is cheap! The peas and gravy are also yummy. I haven't tried the curry yet. Staff are pleasant, and the service is good. I've only eaten here twice, gutted. I've only just discovered this chippy that's on my doorstep 😊 I will most definitely visit again!

Saw an Fb post about home made fishcakes and thought I'd give it a try.
Bought a special with curry (kindly placed in a separate tub).
The food was absolutely perfect with the fishcake packed with fish and a tasty texture covered in superb crispy batter.. Chips cooked crispy outside and fluffy hot potato inside and the curry grew in taste to one of the tastiest chippy curries tasted. 👌

Luv this fishshop, I use to go to East park fisheries but I heard good reports about Pollards. Anyway me and my partner decided to try it out. It was so nice to have a fish that wasn't soggy in the middle. We've been back 3 times in the last 3 weeks. The prices are very reasonable too. Well done to all the staff.

Wow. So glad there back open after it was closed for a while. Same lovely staff/ management, so same great service and food. Some good deals and very reasonable prices. The place is spotless as always. You can eat in or takeaway. Did I say tasty food. Lovely dining area with outside seating too. Ordered and ready within 5 minutes. Very good portion sizes all served with a chat and a smile. X

1st time I had eaten here in a while and WOW, it was fab! The chips are something else, I'm not a fan of chips from anywhere and don't usually buy them but I opted for a large fish special with gravy and small sausage. More food than I could eat, as they certainly give good portions. Cost me less than £10 and it all was amazing. Service was rapid too. Staff was welcoming and polite. This place is well worth a try. They also put some excellent deals on.

Never been in here before but we will definitely be visiting again. Staff are friendly and helpful with a smile. Food is delicious. Patties are tasty with a light, crispy batter and chips are nice and chunky. We had already ordered when we learned about the chorizo patty. Can't wait to try that one.

Hadn't been in a while so decided to have a treat. I ordered a medium fish special and some pattie bites and believe me they dont scrimp on portion size. Service was very good and food excellent quality. Well worth a visit 👍
