Nice place which serves spirits and pub food. The starters of hummus, pita bread and vegetables were excellent. However, the vegetarian burger wasn't anything to write home about.
Very cosy environment! The atmosphere of this spot is very cool, for dining or just a coffee with a group of friends. The waitress was nice and available, as well as the rest of the staff!
It's a nice place to have a drink on the river and the food is lovely. Honestly it is overpriced but then you are actually right next to the river so the view is impeccable. It's a small place on the inside but very cosy and homely. The staff are lovely and as I said before the food was delicious.
Woody's is always worth a visit, despite being a bit scatty in approach; the food is really generous in portion and well cooked too, especially the platters. The drinks are inventive and very varied too. Both are quite pricey but you do get a great view and fun decor...
Location and View 5/5
Ambience 4/5
Service 4/5
Food 3/5
Went there for a lazy sunday afternoon sometime back, good view and ambience. Place has some energy. However, the menu is'nt very exhaustive. Food was okish compared the everything else, that had raised the bar.
At last, Kingston is growing up and becoming quite cool. Or at least it's starting to, thanks to the likes of Woody's. The decor is original, fun and contemporary and the food is reliably good - adds a little sparkle to pub grub.
Stylish and Relaxing. The first thing you notice upon entering Woody's is the peculiar yet interesting decor that despite its variance seems to successfully build up a stylish and relaxed atmosphere. The variety of chairs, another quirky yet elegant design choice, led me to the childish act of instantly wanting the biggest one! From the wingback I had chosen I could fully enjoy the view of the river and the atmosphere of this charming little pub. The staff were friendly and service was fast. The bar has a nice range of beers and wines. My burger was cooked how i asked it to be (well done) and exceeded my expectations. Unlike my fellow reviewer Angela, who seemed to be put off by a female employee's appearance, I was served by a young boy who's charm and confidence only furthered the enjoyment of my Woody's visit. I full heartedly recommend Woody's Bar & Kitchen and rate it a pleasant and relaxing experience, 10/10.
Must see. Visited on our latest Kingston tour and I have to say we were impressed with this Pub. Very kids friendly, nice selection of beer and food. A cracking place which will become a regular visit if it keeps up this standard.
An evening walk by the river Thames and you just feeling like sitting by the river irrespective of the weather. Woodys is a pub by the river which serves a good range of wine and mid day meals.
The pulled pork sandwich and the open chicken sandwich is mouth watering but really heavy on the belly. I would suggest to share this meal with someone. They have random furniture including a tub seating which is really cute and unique. A perfect place to Spend an afternoon with friends just relaxing. They have an outdoor seating as well, where you can sit look around and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Absolutely love this place. Lived around this area for a year and this pub has been a favourite since then. Nothing like some time by the Thames on a sunny day! The staff are friendly, the food is good and the ambiance is def the best thing about this place. You need to be here if you're in the area on a sunny day - bucketlist it!
Yum! Sat on the patio on a beautiful day. Great service and delicious vegan food! I would highly recommend the fried "chicken". I had a tasty beer with peach flavour! So yummy!
Predominantly a student bar vibe, it does attract a wide audience of those looking to take advantage of the riverside suntrap without the stuffiness of the pub gardens further up the river towards Kingston.
Inside it's clean and bright, pipe benches and mismatched seating. There's a nice selection of beers on tap - Lost and Grounded "Wanna Go To The Sun" flies out of here, as well as Budvar which I think has a deal on midweek. The Gipsy Hill always tastes a little funky so I tend to swerve it, consistently so, I'm assuming it's the beer. The cocktails are excellent, boozy slushies and spicy margaritas are dangerously drinkable, and leave you a little wobbly without breaking the bank.
Food wise they've changed it up, they had the Carribbean Kitchen menu a month or so ago and now it's Vegan Junk food which looked banging when being brought out. Speaking of which, it's mostly table service if you sit outside, which is nice not having to move from the sun drenched perch. The staff are kind and attentive, quick to make recommendations, and manage well with the highs and lows of busy periods.
I've not done many "bar" posts on here but after years of just walking past Woody's, I'm happy I've been able to indulge and appreciate it the last 6 months or so. A good spot to head after devouring a Poor Boys round the corner, or to break up the walk.
Nice restaurant/cafe serving Vegan options. Tables inside and out opposite the Thames. Easy access and accessibility. Alcohol and coffee served. Servings are generally generous.
Dog friendly. Friendly staff and reasonable prices with a varied menu. Parking available nearby in the car parks. It's a nice spot with benches outside when the weather is good. I would recommend.
Lovely bustling location, awesome outdoor space to enjoy a vegan meal or a few pints right next to the river. The staff were really friendly and helpful. It is also dog friendly 🐶
Also had a great bit of graffiti in the bathroom (see picture) 😃
We would like to thank the Ladies at the service, all of them!!! Always with a genuine smile on their faces! Food we went for the nachos and fries and was very tasteful. Nice selection of IPA. Next to the water nice!!! First time we managed to find a seat and for sure it will not be our last time every visit in Kingston area.. Keep it up guys. 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Can't go wrong with a hot dog from Woody's. Would also definitely recommend getting the loaded chips. The staff are incredibly friendly and the atmosphere is really good.
We stopped off for some drinks by the riverside. It has a lively atmosphere. Table service with attentive staff. Even though it was busy, we didn't feel rushed.
Cool place. Young vegan vibes. If you’re a fan of Budweiser Budvar (yes, the original one), then a) they have it on tap, and b) they serve it in the iconic glassware.
The service a bit slow but friendly and always with the smile.
Nice tea & coffee, good tacos🌮 & crisps, beautifully presented delicious food
Amazing selection of beers, nice staff. I was hesitant about the loaded fries with Jack fruit, all of the food was delicious. We'll be back
