The best chicken katsu, lovely staff and fast service, my friends and I usually get take away from here and go eat my katsu curry by the Thames. The tofu katsu curry is yummy too.

This is the Korean Restaurant that I always go to since their food is very delicious and it always taste fresh that's why I always drop by to their shop whenever I go to Kingston High Street. The staff here are very friendly, their food is unique and tastes really good. Chicken katsu and chili chicken are two of my favorites, but all their food are a must try!!! 10/10 👌👌👌

A simple menu with filling food. My go to is the rice with with spicy and sugar chicken combo. It always goes down well. The food is halal and they have signs around the shop for it. The staff are nice and friendly. The place is clean but not an Instagram cafe but this is a good thing as you are paying for good food. I hope you found this review helpful 🙂

When in Kingston - this is the place to go! Fantastic service with fresh food every time. Have been here 4 or 5 times now and have always tried something different; seems to get better every time. My pick would be the Cheese Tteokbokki - had the normal one the first time (which was great) but the cheese just takes it to another level. Highly recommend the Chicken 999 if you like things spicy and the Sweet Chilli Chicken for a more balanced mix of flavours. And the fact this is Halal just sweetens the deal the most!

JOA is Kingston's hidden gem in terms of Korean takeaway. First off, its a bit further away from the main street, yet it has a lot seating area! You are almost always guaranteed a seat, even pre-pandemic. So if you find yourself hungry after shopping around, head here and you'll likely find a seat. Now let's talk about the taste. Personally their rice stood out for me, its sticky and soft just at the right texture. The foods are also very good, I've tasted most of them! My personal favourite are the teriyaki star and the chicken katsu curry. The curry sauce here is unique to the others and just leaves you wanting more. Pricewise, it is (during the time of this review) the cheapest option on that same street. You don't really come to these take away places to experience stellar hospitality, but the owner is always quick to handle your order and sometimes I get a candy as a bonus :). I am definitely a returning customer for the foreseeable future.

Chicken999 is 닭볶음탕 very authentic Korean style. so tasty and spicy. Cooked rice is surprisingly impressive and best quality I have ever tried in London. Because other brand restaurants don't really care about rice quality. I will definitely get it again.

First of all it is amazing that all the chicken is halal but what was more amazing is the Cheese Teokbokki - it was the best I ever had. The rice cakes very soft and the sauce had a good enough spice. My sister's and I thoroughly enjoyed the meals and the staff were nice and friendly. Thank you and we will be coming back soon 😊

**UPDATE: This restaurant is no longer trading and has been taken over by another Korean takeaway! Whenever we've had a long day cycling around in Richmond, JOA is the only place we grab a quite bite to eat. This Halal Korean spot offers delicious sweet and sour chicken on some great egg fried rice. The portions are very generous, even on their 'original' size option. It isn't often that one comes across a halal oriental eatery, so this place is a hidden gem for both it's great food and halal offerings!
