We had 2 x Breakfast with Tea and Toast .Delicious .They have quite a large menu so there is something for everyone.
Kudos to the kind ladies who served us even though we arrived past last call. Generous portions and fair prices.
Amazing little place. Food was delicious (best chicken goujons I had the past year or 2), few gifts to buy (books, scented candles, soap, paintings and others), Service was also great.
Food was made right then and there, making it even more delicious and also meaning a bit of waiting time, but it was totally worth it. Highly recommend a visit and a look.
We went for early evening meal and were blown away by the quality of the fish and chips. The chef here is SERIOUS! The tartare sauce was handmade and sublime, batter perfect, fish perfect, and chips worth eating. How rare is that? Heaven. It’s also a nice down to earth place with no pretensions - just damn good food. Loved it.
Brilliant little cafe tucked away in one of the many stunning villages along the North coast of Scotland. Ordered the vegan burger and chips and was not disappointed. Vegan options available
Came up last year and unexpectedly got the best fish and chips I've ever had. Came back this year, and got the same. Worth the trip for the chips alone. Bring sauce if you're that type (they do vinegar).
Not dog friendly which is rubbish in the rain and odd given so many other places on the NC500 are so welcoming. A Kinlochbervie problem I think as the quay house is also not dog friendly. But this is a small business trying hard. The owners’ kids served us asking all the right questions and we took takeaway back to the motorhome. Nice interior (although being dog owners we couldn’t enjoy it other than for ordering). Food good quality and well cooked.
Had a week exploring the Cape Wrath peninsula on foot. The bus pulled me into Kinlochbervie at 1pm and I was ravenous. Amazing way to start it all of with a haggis roll and tea. Friendly service, chatty folk on other tables, good honest haggis roll and decent tea. Laid the foundation for a full week of outdoors. To maintain the parallel I arrived mid-afternoon at the end of 7 days of largely being outdoors walking. A further haggis roll and a pot of earl grey. Very impressed. More than did the trick and restored inner humanity.
Lovely little cafe, great food and fast, friendly service. The menus even have information at the back for attractions nearby! Good stop for anyone on the road in the Highlands!
Chef Philip went out of his way to cater for my fairly giant head
