Stopped when passing because we needed to eat. Went in for fuel, i.e expecting to get soup and sandwich. We ordered a burger each and got real home-cooked food. Chips freshly cut from the potato, chicken breast seasoned and coated in the kitchen, lovely colourful side salad. Nothing mass produced or from the freezer - a real find. Proper Yorkshire pub with grub, great landlord and friendly family. We loved our Saturday lunch with great pints of Theakstons to wash it down.

We’ve eaten an evening meal and Sunday lunch and we’re going back again tomorrow! The food is home cooked, generous portions and excellent value. The landlord and landlady plus their staff, give you a warm friendly welcome and nothing is too much trouble. A place where everyone is welcomed.
Amazing food super generous portions of food but all good quality and well seasoned and cooked. Quite a few gluten free options. Super dog friendly and really nice landlord and staff. Can't reccomend highly enough.
