This place is a must when travelling the A66 between Penrith and Scotch Corner. New owners are so friendly and provide a great service, clean and tidy, great food, reasonably priced. Great views from the window table, honestly this place is very good indeed!

One of my favorite places to stay in a wagon. Lovely views. Foods always great. Nice to see new owners carrying on the traditional home cooked food. Very good price aswell.

Just pulled up at Stainmore cafe. New owners, very friendly and chatty, ordered the large breakfast, toast and mug of tea. Plus parking £20. Food was brilliant and tasty, was glad to see doing all day breakfast. Very clean place. I will be staying here again. 👍

Stopped here on our way to Gretna Green. Friendly staff very clean. Next time we go here I will ask for a child's portion. The meals are massive. I had an omelette it would have fed 4 people. Everything on the plate was cooked lovely fresh and good value.

This was a refuge when we broke down. Dropped here by the toe truck. It was shut as it was new year but clen carpark. More of a truck stop.
