Just pulled up at Stainmore cafe. New owners, very friendly and chatty, ordered the large breakfast, toast and mug of tea. Plus parking £20. Food was brilliant and tasty, was glad to see doing all day breakfast. Very clean place. I will be staying here again. 👍
This place is a must when travelling the A66 between Penrith and Scotch Corner. New owners are so friendly and provide a great service, clean and tidy, great food, reasonably priced. Great views from the window table, honestly this place is very good indeed!
One of my favorite places to stay in a wagon. Lovely views. Foods always great. Nice to see new owners carrying on the traditional home cooked food. Very good price aswell.
Stopped here on our way to Gretna Green. Friendly staff very clean. Next time we go here I will ask for a child's portion. The meals are massive. I had an omelette it would have fed 4 people. Everything on the plate was cooked lovely fresh and good value.
Friendly and welcoming. Good place for a nights kip, prices are very reasonable. Nice food, canny complain. Will be back!!

I just had the absolute best cappuccino in my life. This place is a hidden gem. The person on the table next to me was having the hugest omelette in the Universe and the fries with it smell so good. It's also spotlessly clean.
Transport cafe minus the filth. Spotless clean including toilets. Food wholesome and huge portions. Friendly staff. Prices very reasonable. Small breakfast with coffee 5 quid. I'm not a small guy and the small breakfast was more than enough for me. 7quid to park for night and 10 with a 5

Love this place ☺️ good old fashioned, traditional transport cafe. Just wish it opened 7 days a week, with same hours every day. I'm sure it would do well as Penrith is closed a Saturday night & all day Sunday 😊 friendly staff & good food, lovely views too 🏞️⛰️

This was a refuge when we broke down. Dropped here by the toe truck. It was shut as it was new year but clen carpark. More of a truck stop.
