We came here today for the first time and loved it! It's a hot day and the place was rammed when we arrived. We ordered food and were advised it would be 45 minutes and it was .. but it was worth the wait! Lobster and Prawn cocktail followed by Chicken Caesar salad and a freshly made southern fried chicken salad. The staff are non stop and under pressure yet still smiling! Dog friendly just made it perfect. Thanks

We were lucky enough to win Father’s Day breakfast for my husband ( as well as a surprise hamper). Lovely food and lovely staff. Have already booked to come back.
Very nice and cosy!! 🪵🕯️ The food was awesome. We tried the signature burger and the buttermilk chicken burger, both really hit the spot. The place has a really nice atmosphere and decor. And the scenery surrounding the place with the canal was nice. Highly recommended. ✨
I was on route back from a long bike ride and stopped off here for lunch. Service was quick and very friendly. Two pints, two sandwiches and chips. Total bill was £30 including the tip. It was even warm enough to sit outside. Worth a stopover if you are along the canal.

The Staff at the stables go above and beyond for their customers. Stuart is especially kind to his loyal returning ones, and Suzie and all the staff couldn’t be more helpful, the stables gives a pet friendly, pleasant and happy
atmosphere.
Beautiful old building in idyllic surrounds, great views over the canal and a nice beer garden.
Food was nice and the kids seemed to enjoy it, good service and very friendly.

• Quality - 5/5 - Absolutely fantastic, the Sticky crispy chicken starter was delicious and that jam mmmmm. The burger was out of this world especially with all that cheese. The flavours just hit you bite after bite. I mean look what's on it. Dipping the onion nest into that sauce as well 👍🏻
• Quantity - 4/5 - there were loads.
• Value for money - very good, £55 for 2 starters and 2 mains with 2 pints.
• Additional - quick service and the staff were friendly. Shout out to Lucy who served us. The atmosphere was great. It's a great pub.
Staff really welcoming and attentive which made the whole visit a pleasure. Menu was out of a few of the more popular dishes ( Pie of the day, sausages, fish) which was explained to us when we received our menus but still found suitable alternatives on the menu. Food was good pub grub and additional "dogs menu" was a great idea.
As always the staff were very welcoming. I brought my 12 week old puppy In for a visit. Suzy and Sarah were absolutely amazing! Sarah let me know about their Christmas puppy night in December (which I will definitely be booking) our was was brought over quickly and the coffee was lovely 10/10
