We stayed here on Saturday for one night. We received a warm welcome upon arrival and was shown to our room. Our room was very modern and lovely decorated. We could also use the lounge area downstairs which had big comfy sofas! Had a delicious breakfast in the morning. Would highly recommend staying here!

Very relaxing, comfortable and welcoming B&B to visit. We arrived at the end of April for one night to complete our final leg of our journey around Scotland and was warmly welcomed by Anne and Gareth. Prior to checking-in, we were welcomed into the Wee Bear Cafe for refreshments after a long drive. I noticed there was a good selection of homemade cakes on offer, which we didn't take up as we were going to dine out afterwards. Whilst we were being escorted to our room, we were given a tour and was allowed free-run of the place, as were the only guests that weekend. The room we stayed in was the Glenisla, a spacious and tastefully decorated large double room with a good sized En-suite showcasing a multi-spray Shower, which was a pleasure to use, once we worked out how to turn it on. The Breakfast was a variety of Cereals, yoghurt, fruit juice or you could opt for a cooked option, which was done to perfection and refreshments at the Wee Bear Cafe were delicious and reasonably priced. It was a wonderful place to visit and we'll definitely be going back next time we're in Angus, or even in Scotland. Keep up the good work!

We stopped off here for coffee and cake and we weren't disappointed. Cakes were delicious staff were lovely- told us about some lovely places to visit - and it was comfy and cosy. It was dog friendly and we could take our dog Harper in so that was a bonus. Wee Bear from the name was a gorgeous wee ball of fur and made himself comfy at our feet. Would highly recommend

They’re back and just as fabulous as ever. Maybe that’s why Winter seems so long? New entry Huevos Mexicanos Del Oso is delicious - highly recommend trying it. Definitely a rival for Fiesta. Winter is coming to an end.

Lovely welcoming atmosphere, with staff that give that little bit (or a lot actually) extra. Food is yummy and home made, with a wide variety, especially for vegetarians. Dogs also welcomed with open arms! Definitely highly recommended and will be visiting again!

Just the place to visit after a lovely walk around Backwater reservoir. Carrot and Ginger soup with lovely Italian bread, shared a brie and roast veg. " wee bear special" sandwich followed by lovely coffees, american and cappucino (great taste but mellow) and lemon drizzle cake and blueberry muffin - lovely friendly service in a great location and the sun was shining! Gareth and Ann very welcoming - we'll be back soon.

Visited the Wee bear café for the first time, we will definitely be back!! Served by Gareth and Anne who were most welcoming and we never felt rushed to eat up. The B & B guest sitting room can be seen as you enter the café and it looked like a place where you could chill out and forget your worries.

Amazing place. Very warm welcome, they even upgraded our room because we were the only guests (it was Monday) and they gave us super tasty cake because...Does anyone really need an excuse for cake?!?. The room was lovely and the bed really comfy. Extraordinary surroundings, off the beaten track but great if what you are looking for is a nice quite place to stay and relax. Great place to start a journey if you are heading up to the Highlands too! Super nice home made breakfast. Loved everything!!

Brilliant wee cafe in the countryside. All food is freshly made to order and there are an abundance of yummy, homemade cakes to choose from. Plenty of inside and outdoor seating. Dogs are very welcome... Wheelchair access and vegetarian options are also available. This venue also has its own carpark and is a popular stop off for cyclists.

Bit of a hidden gem this one. I stopped in while on a cycle back in April. The atmosphere and decor were both great. There was a lovely sitting area with windows and given it was still cold there was a nice fire that added to the atmosphere. I had sausages on a croissant which was fantastic and powered me for the rest of my ride back to Carnoustie. The best part…there was a small dog (very possibly Bear!) that wandered between his bed in front of the fire and welcoming guests. He would come over every so often for a little pet and was absolutely adorable. Not to worry for those not fond of dogs, he wasn’t intrusive in any way, just incredibly friendly. I’ll be trying to incorporate more cycles up this way in future!

Stopped by for lunch as the cafe had been recommended by friends. Was not disappointed as the food was lovely and the cakes were beautiful. There was a good selection of cakes and treats so I would definitely recommend stopping for coffee and cake if not lunch. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back!

What a gorgeous little gem of a place. Spotted it while using Google maps, as we were staying in nearby Kirriemuir. Lovely girls serving, beautiful building/surroundings, and all the food was gorgeous. We had soup and the Sir Douglas sausage sandwich, followed by brownie and carrot cake with coffees. The main menu may only be limited by some standards, but that means they specialise. There were at least 10 desert/cake options though. Highly recommended, and if we're ever over this side of Scotland again, it'll be a must stop off point for us. Thanks everyone😊👍
