Just returned after spending the night at this amazing place. From the moment you enter you are made to feel so welcome. Mathew was a star and Julie worth her weight in gold. The attention to detail of the furnishings is fab. Our room was very clean and comfortable, lots of tea and coffee. The meal last night was excellent as was the breakfast, can't recommend this place enough, hoping to return in June

We went to celebrate my Dads birthday and were served by a lovely friendly waitress called Julie. The food was delicious and came quickly. My Dad declared it the nicest pint of beer and nicest burger he had had in years. Nice relaxed atmosphere- not too loud so could chat easily Tables well spaced so not cramped. Would really recommend- we will be back

We have been before. This time was a friends get together and we had a voucher for discount on Mains which expired that day. We decided on Mains with possible desserts. Chicken breast with triple cooked chips, Shepherd's pie with peas and Steak pie with triple cooked chips with a Drink from the bar. Very nice. We went for desserts. Ice cream (honeycomb, double chocolate and a coconut sorbet). Sticky toffee pudding with custard. The service was prompt and helpful. The cost was okay made better with the discount. We'll be back.

Stayed here 1 night for a wedding party at Goldsborough Hall, the room was very comfortable & we really enjoyed our stay. Can not really comment on the food as we didn't eat during our stay, but we will be back to sample it as it looked really nice from our little nosey at other people's. Great bar service and a good selection of drinks.

Absolutely amazing place! We booked well in advance for Christmas Dinner, adding to our notes that if possible to have a table that was a little more private as our son is Autistic and struggles when surrounded by people. When we arrived, it was obviously extremely busy being Christmas day. They were also running behind, so people were all stood around the bar waiting. We asked if there was anywhere we could wait, with our son obviously having issues. Very quickly we were shown to a meeting room where we could wait on our own until our table was ready. We were in there for about 45 minutes, which was unfortunate but we understood Christmas day was extremely busy for them. My wife went to ask a couple of times if they knew how much longer we would be waiting, to be honest this was more so us being paranoid we would be forgotten with it being so busy. As it was obvious a table still may not be ready anytime soon, they made up a new table for us that was nice and private. The food was absolutely amazing, it was definitely worth the wait. The service was also exceptional and I lost count of the amount of apologies we received due to the wait. Given everything that was going on, the service we received and quality of the food, we will 100000% be returning.
