This was a great pub to get a meal from, with a vintage design contributed by the frames and windows all around! The counter is well-presented, the lighting is beautiful and the staff were friendly. I enjoyed an American Cheeseburger with chips and Pepsi Max comfortably at a clean table, although the beef was slightly overcooked.

Can't believe I went in on bed race day and I managed to get served and get sat down easy enough given how busy it was around the town. I've never felt so welcome given my disabilities, usually in other places I struggle but I was surprisesd that I was helped in to my seat by a staff member who noticed that I was struggling and late when I was ordering food a staff member was extremely helpful in showing me their allergen menu. I've been out a few times around knaresborough and had awful experiences explaining my celiac disorder. But one mention of my allergies and the staff showed me an easy to read virtual menu. Amazing service given how busy the pub was. I recommend this pub if you are looking for a quick lunch Time meal on a time.crunch with with dietary needs

I don't think I have ever had a bad experience in the Wetherspoons franchise . Food is always good to excellent, staff always friendly and hard working, drink ridiculously inexpensive, and more often than not a listed building or very attractive facade and interior. I do have one minor issue, and it does seem to universal, which is when you take on a table recently vacated, or just take on a table, it can be a very long time before anyone comes to take away the bottles, glasses and sometimes, like today, horrible clutter left behind. Wetherspoons, come on, employ a member of staff, whose sole duty is clear the clutter. "Clear the Clutter " 😀👍🍺
