We had lunch included with our tour and were given three meal options. We decided on the fish and chips and the chicken ham pie. Both dishes were okay—not outstanding, but decent for a tour lunch. Service was quick, which was a big plus and gave us extra time to explore the small town afterward.
Had the sunday roast dinner (beef) and apple/blackberry crumble tart. Both were great. Whole group were happy with the food. Decent portions. Sevice was warm, friendly and prompt. Interesting old interior and nice shaded outside area. Pleasant atmosphere.
Lovely, practically ancient pub in a quaint little village that shouldn't even exist!!! We visited as part of a tour, and it was a delightful.
Our party enjoyed fish & chips and chicken & ham pie with leeks and mash. Food was freshly prepared and tasty; we had "proper" pies with crust on top and bottom!
