Vegetarian half breakfast (no idea what 'half' means here as it was pretty big I thought) was good, it comes with veggie black pudding and the beans were hot. Though for me the egg, mushrooms and tomatoes were undercooked. Unfortunately the coffee wasn't good - it was watery and weak.

We went and tried all of the vegan tapas menu.
Everything was freshly cooked.
Delisious food, great portion size and worth every penny!!

Excellent. Goes above and beyond! I'm a vegetarian but my husband isnt...It's great to go somewhere who caters very well for both! We have been twice in the last couple of weeks. Once for breakfast and once for breakfast! My husband enjoyed a tasty (and huge) club sandwhich for lunch and the breakfasts were delicious, vegetarian breakfast included vegetarian sausages, vegetarian black pudding, a really nice potato cake/has brown and a whole avocado, as well as the usual (beans, mushroom, eggs, tomato). Regular came with sausage, bacon, and two types of black pudding. Price included a hot and cold drink and some homemade bread . Reasonably priced for excellent food!

A fantastic tea room with amazing vegan food. Came here for my anniversary meal with my girlfriend and we were both super impressed by the diversity and quality of vegan food. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful as well. Would recommend to all!

Absolutely incredible meal at Sunbury Coffee House this evening! Even as vegans, my boyfriend and I were completely spoiled for choice (which makes a lovely change😍). The staff are very welcoming, and accomodating - really making our trip special. Portion sizes are quality, and we'll definitely be back to try lunch and breakfast menu. Great to see such a small business opting for sustainable practice too. Nice one Sunbury!

It's a lovely cosy friendly little cafe which has facilities for children although it doesn't specifically aim for that market. Unfortunately access is via stairs and the toilets are up more stairs, so not good for wheelchair users.
Currently (Jan 2018) they can only accept cash payment. May 2018 - Update: They now take card payments.
There are newspapers available to read while you sup your Atkinsons coffee or tea. There is also a free book-swap basket.
Good choice of vegetarian options, with some vegan. Also several gluten-free options. While I was there a vegan customer asked about the mayonnaise in a vegetarian burger meal. The friendly staff asked the chef and he came out to see the customer, and explained that it contained egg, but if he didn't mind waiting a little longer, he would mix up a vegan version specially. The customer was really pleased and happy with that.

A restaurant that has the appearance of a large Victorian dining room, with pleasing decor and ambience. The food was interesting, fresh and well presented. The seven choices of scones, made choosing one nicely difficult. The soup was tasty and healthy. The service was given in a polite and helpful way.

Outstanding food, brilliant choices and highly accommodating. Could not ask for more. Staff are friendly beyond measure and chef takes a personal interest in your requirements. Not your average cafe. Give them some love!

On the rare occasions I work in Lancaster I always try to go here for lunch. Good variety of food, lovely environment to enjoy lunch and the most amazing cooked breakfasts! Not easy to find as it's not on the main street but worth a visit.
