Modern pub, Doom Bar at £3.15…can't really argue. Lots of screens for sport. Kitchen looked busy. Pool table, free on Thursday I believe. Dog friendly.

Splendid place for Pub grub and atmosphere. Lots of specials every day and alternating games and events. Such as, Chicken specials on Wednesday and Free Pool (billiards) night.
The staff were friendly and the food was excellent.

Good service by friendly bartenders.
We love the quiz, quiz master is a right laugh.
Cheap nice drinks in a nice atmosphere, that's what you want in a pub.

The steak was very good.
The bar staff friendly and professional.
I was only visiting on a day out back to my student days of ‘75 so only ate.
There were people who seemed to ‘regulars at their local’ and that made the atmosphere less sterile for an early evening midweek visit in what otherwise would have been an empty pub.

Booked a table for 5 to celebrate my birthday with my son who lives locally and was pleasantly surprised. The food was very good, the service was excellent and the prices were very reasonable. I will certainly consider going back next time we're in town. We didn't have desert because the choice was limited but then again, the main course was very filling.

Wonderful service from Mathew and Liana at tonight at the Pendle Witch, thank you! Despite being incredibly busy with the big match on and not having been notified by head office that we had reserved a table for dinner, Mathew moved the pool table and added more tables in order to accommodate us temporarily until there was another table available. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a good experience and that our dog was settled so we could relax, which was really important to us so we could spend some quality time with our son who is at Uni at Lancaster. Oh and the food wasn't bad either! Thank you, we will definitely be back!

When to Lancaster and had lovely meal me and my partner at the pendle witch pub in the town centre young lad who served us was great had meal and drinks for 19 pounds and 39 pence food was great home made see photos

Historic building with lots of character and a big beer garden outside with tables and booths to sit. Good place to come for food, drinks and live sports with friends or family. The food menu is very diverse and the prices are quite good for what you get. I found the food to be decent quality, good portions and came out quick from the kitchen, would recommend.

What a cute pub.
Tucked away in Lancaster city centre and has that cavern feel where there is no logic to the design and that makes it look great inside. Excellent beer garden shown in the photo with little booths and astro turf to give it a green feel.
Drinks were reasonable and staff were very friendly.
I'd go here again for sure.

Been going there for meals for about 4 years now. Last visit we ordered the yorkshire pudding wrap. Unfortunately they zapped it in the microwave and it was very chewy. We decided to let that go. Today we ordered the fish and chips .The fish was very undercooked and when we complained all we got was 'sorry about that'. I think they must have a new cook who is not quite up to it. Sorry but we wont be back

It was a lovely day so we sat outside in the beer garden, the area where you access this leading from the main ring road would benefit from being tidied up which wouldn't take one of the staff very long.
The food although in-expensive was not great, scampi was dried up and cooked too much and the same with the steak and ale pie.
Most of the staff are polite however the manageress does not seem like she wants to be in the hospitality trade and definitely has the wrong attitude. When we mentioned about the food this only made her attitude more offhand.
A shame - this could really be a great pub!
Will not be rushing back I'm afraid, I live and work in Lancaster and often lunch with friends in the city.
