Food has gone downhill recently. Orders are always wrong but cost is going through the roof. Sad because they were fab for ages but not anymore. The photo below is supposed to be bean sprout chow mien but is quite obviously Singapore chow mein and was so hot I couldn’t eat it.

Waited 2 hours so called the restaurant. They said they had miss placed the order and that the food was never made. but we also received a message saying the food was on its way 30min before calling them. They weren’t really very apologetic. They refunded the £5 delivery fee but no compensation on the food. They just didn’t really care. The food was good enough but not worth the rubbish customer service.

Ordered via their Website and only ordered 5 items. Nearly an hour went by and called to check if had received & processing the order.
They had to call me back to say they finally found it but it hadn't gone through to kitchen.
Did I want it, said yes lets continue with order. The person on phone said 10 ,15 minutes took about 20 to arrive.
They gave us a bottle of fizzy and Tigar beer because of mix up .
Other the egg fried rice and coconut rice rest of the food wasn't very nice. Won't be ordering from here again .

On several occasions orders have taken over two hours, when ordering they stated it will take 45 minutes. When after waiting an hour and half they stated it will be with you in 15 minutes 45 minutes later still not arrived. If you want a quick takeaway and good service go elsewhere.

This is ridiculously bad. It's been a long time since I've had a Chinese as poor as this. The tofu dishes were gelatinous and inedible-literally couldn't swallow. I phoned the restaurant to tell them about my experience and was simply told "it's supposed to be dry and gelatinous". So even they admitted that their food was bad but when I asked for a partial refund (£10 off £25) they refused, and there was a lot of laughing in the background. I offered to make this ok by not giving a bad review if I were given my partial refund but this did not happen. I believe it is called Forbidden Palace for a reason.

OMG we've just had the most amazing takeaway from Forbidden Palace.
The chicken satay was to die for.
We had king prawn curry, chicken chow mien plus other stuff.
The BEST Chinese takeaway away where, absolutely loved it

If soggy prawn crackers, cold food and terrible customer service are your thing then this is the place for you! Food was cold and soggy when the take away arrived and my Thai curry was 90% undercooked chunks of onion. It was really expensive and despite the claims on the menu we were charged for the prawn crackers. I emailed to complain as was a very disappointing birthday treat and I've been completely ignored. Would not recommend at all.
