On a trip to Largs last Thursday 30th August with my family we decided to eat at Wee Plaice, based on it receiving really great reviews on google,we were not disappointed at all,it was throughly tasty and possibly best fish & chips I have ever had,great fresh food, made to order great price,family run by Richard and his Mum who where very friendly,we will most definitely be back on a next trip to Scotland.

Had dinner here one night during our stay in Largs. It was by far the best fish and chips we had during our week in Scotland. It was quick to order, and made fresh while we waited. Generous portion sizes and it was all delicious. We had beautiful weather, so it was great being able to take our dinner across the street to the boardwalk. Will definitely be stopping in if we make it back to Largs.

Worth a visit when in Largs! Not just for the food, but the banter & added convenience of THE best card machine! (I’d went to the bank as didnt realise they took cards, usually chippies dont have one).
Also worthwhile pointing out it’s an International card machine, so you can even pay in your own currency.

A great chippy, serving well cooked chips (no soggy potatoes served here, just nice slightly crunchy chips). Food is turned out quickly, and the staff are polite. Best of the Largs chipshops imho.

Cracking wee plaice, for a quick bite to eat after a good cycle round Millport then a few pints at the local pub before home. Good service, good food and decent price as well.
