The BEST afternoon tea we’ve ever had! Lovely touch with the strawberries for the scones. Too many tasty cakes to choose a favourite but can highly recommend. We sat in the garden outside which was so beautiful and peaceful. All of the ladies were super friendly and helpful, the cafe was clean and tidy and decorated so well. Also amazing smelling hand sanitiser in the toilet! 😂 will be telling all my family and friends to visit.
Managed to grab the one table outside the front of this cute tearooms to watch the world go by… lovely food and attentive staff! Ploughman’s was fab and great idea to add a small ‘tipple’ of ice cream with your slice of cake and they correspond the flavours so Coffee & Walnut cake = coffee ice cream! Genius
Little garden round the back too if the weather is forgiving… we will return!
A wonderful step back in time. A truly lovely, warm and welcoming tea room. I had the best coffee and walnut cake I've ever eaten...and I've had a few, and tea served in bone china pots and cups 🤗
Nicely decorated and warm host. Loved their hospitality. Thanks Amanda! We had a lovely time at your place. The cake was possibly the most quintessential British cake. Loved the chutney with the sandwich too. Will definitely visit agin.
We had a lovely afternoon tea here - all freshly made with beautiful cakes and sandwiches. I especially liked the savoury sage and onion muffin! The lemon curd cake was also particularly nice. It was busy so thankfully we had booked, but I can see why. Lovely staff and service too.
It is small and quirky but this adds to the whole experience. No room for wheel chairs or prams as far as I could see. Very busy so you do have to wait a bit longer but it is so worth it. Cakes are divine. Enjoy!!
What a lovely place for a drink and cake. The staff were friendly, the cake delicious, and the portions were very generous. They were dog friendly in the garden and lovely to the teenage kids. We'll definitely be going back.
Really lovely afternoon tea. Home made scones with lovely jam cream and strawberries were so nice! Unlimited tea/coffee. Great service too 👍
Lavenham Blue Vintage Tea Rooms Market Lane Lavenham: Occurred to me that an address is wanted as so many tea rooms in Lavenham! Delightful well thought through tea room. More cakes than you can shake a stick at, with more interest on the menu. Superbly laid out with vintage quaint dressed tables. Customer rapour excellent, with great sense of humour and attentivesness.
Seating, can accommodate people outside and in. Of course cakes tasted delicious, served with a little tumbler of matching ice cream - nice touch. Ample size teapots and of course china cups. Great place to bring well behaved kids who have been bought up to appreciate the finer things of life. The owner was very accommodating to a young man who asked for a sandwich to take away. I have to say the sandwich he received was NO ordinary sandwich. Beautiful thick cut bread with lashings of filling and wrapped up with a good quality serviette. This is what you call, a generous classy establishment
We popped in here for afternoon coffee and cake whilst down visiting friends. It was full when we arrived but just had to wait 5 mins or so whilst they tidied up and got a table ready - and it was worth the wait! Inside it was beautifully decorated and had a lovely cosy atmosphere, and the choice of cakes was amazing - and tasted delicious. The staff were lovely and friendly too. Would definitely recommend and will be back if we're ever in the area again.
