I visited the revamped & reopened Brown's Café today with my Mum (ignore the review that says it is closed) and the tea was spot on - large pot, nice flavour & hot water with actual china cups - both the Bakewell Tart and Ginger Cake were home made and really tasty (the ginger cake was still warm it was so fresh) and the service was very pleasant and Manx. Highly recommended for a cuppa & cake.

So nice experience. Staff was friendly, the atmosphere is lovely, quiet and peaceful. This place is a little cosy tea room with a range of high quality food.
We ate the soup of the day and jacked potato with chicken. I really recommend it. It is not expensive.
This place is near the train and bus station which is a good thing.
It was one of the best places we ate in the island.

I can't recommend this place more. Fantastic indulgence food at rock bottom prices. Amazing staff, really pleasant. This is one of the few real gems of the island. Do not miss this place if you are visiting.
