Very busy as a Sat night. Staff friendly and helpful as in most Spoons. I did not complain as it was late on Sat night at 7pm. We were staying in a nearby hotel and 1st time here. Food hot but my mixed grill had overdone gammon with black one side as did my wife's chicken breast. I had very few chips and nobody came along to check how our meal was. Indeed our table had not been cleaned, we had difficulty in finding one and there were no numbers on the table we sat at!! Not the usual standard of food at a Spoons. I don't expect too much for the price paid but this meal was poor.

I came in for a quick meal but ended up staying longer. My server, Marina, was excellent. Very polite and attentive. I even watched her clean off unattended sections that did not belong to her. In USA it is customary to tip, I offered her a tip and she politely refused. She just smiled and asked that I come back to Wetherspoons again. Lovely experience.

Of course all the drinks are exceptionally cheap and taste great. There were many different types of customers, unlike a common misconception that everyones an alcoholic. It was very busy the night we went, so the service at the bar was a bit slow. It seemed a bit understaffed in general, as lots of the tables weren't cleared after folks left. I later discovered that if you order using the app, you get your order delivered to your table. This was quite quick, so I'd recommend doing this if its busy.

Food is still good, although my husband had mixed grill and some of his steak was very tough, he was unable to eat it. My friend and I had curries. Mine was vegetarian cauliflower and spinach with two poppadoms and nan bread oozing with garlic. It was delicious. One seating area in a booth did need a light as it was dark. And the menu's do need wiping as we noted they were very sticky. But on the whole the seats were comfy and we enjoyed lunch.

Met up with my best friend, who I had not seen in 5 years. He was working in Warwick and I love 40 mins away. So we came here to catch up. Had an absolute blast! Atmosphere was great, good range of drinks, the staff were busy, but really helpful, polite and also great fun. We had a lot of fun chatting with the staff. Now I know of it, I'll go back again with Wifey. Thanks for a great night!
