Such a nice friendly place. Great for families dog walkers and friends just catching up as we were .Great venue if you are at Chessington.
It was a half way stop for my sister in law to meet .Recommended by my daughter who had been there before
Great food good menu lovely staff good atmosphere Would highly recommend it x
This was my second visit to the star and I thoroughly enjoyed it! We didn’t have to wait long for a table despite not booking, the food was amazing (the best crackling ever with the pork roast!) the atmosphere was warm and friendly and the service was spot on. A thoroughly pleasurable experience from beginning to end. 10/10
The pub/family restaurant has a great layout of open space at the back, front and inside.
Looks tiny from the outside but as a former school you know how spacious it can be.
The Chicken Caesar salad I had was good however, it was flooded with the white sauce. It almost felt like cold soup at one point. Less would be perfect.
According to my mate, their bangers were delicious.
The staff were friendly and always checked every 5 mins if our food was alright and if we wanted more drinks. It would be better if they came every 10 minutes because it does interrupt conversation sometimes.
Great location for a meal and drink especially after a briskly walk through the common.
6 of us booked for Sunday lunch, attentive staff from arrival to leaving without being rushed.Good ale, excellent food, presented well and hot. looked to be very family and dog friendly. Thank you
Very delicious meal , friendly staffs&attentive.Nice decoration and dog friendly. Highly recommended.
We went here for dinner after going to Chessington World of Adventure. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. Food was amazing and there was a good gluten free selection for my wife. We both had the ribs and the meat fell off the bone and had loads of flavour. Everyone had a good size portion so no one went home hungry. If I'm in that area again would definitely go back.
Great pub with good food. The pub exterior looks smaller than its enormous interior and the staff are all welcoming and attentive. Plenty of parking outside, easy road access and equally easy access for the mobility challenged.
Met up with very good old friends here and the orders were varied from liver & mash, to chicken burgers, ribs & ribs to fresh fish. All were very good. Portions were generous and tasty. Finished off the meal with Kahlua coffees which were excellent
Hadn’t been here for a while. Nice to see the place packed and so many staff working at this pub. Food was great, had the vegan burger & dessert. The waitress was super sweet and always keeping an eye on her tables. The dog enjoyed her doggie biscuits too. 😄
Amazing food, dog friendly and excellent gin selection. We liked it so much we then went onto have our wedding reception there. Great parking too.
We went for our son's birthday and found that two other tables had a birthday group too. It was very busy when we arrived so I suggest that you book a table in advance. The service was slower because of the amount of people at one time but the waiters were very apologetic and had a good sense of humor which went down well. The food was good and so was the atmosphere, we are definitely going back again as this restaurant is one for everyone to try. Plenty of families there too so children are welcome.
As it’s just off the M25 this makes for a great alternative to the Cobham services, if you have the time.
A good welcome, nice, basic pub-grub food and lager, dog friendly in the area just inside the main entrance which is nice.
Car park is always busy yet you can find a space so not an issue.
Been here quite a lot over the years! Today's evening meal was tasty and better than when I last visited and consequently went from 3 stars to 4. Good and friendly service. I was dining on my own and was well looked after. A good spot for walkers & cyclists, with plenty of lovely walks around.
