What an absolutely stunning pub. Youngs pubs are usually very good, but this is a cut above the rest. An amazing selection of beers and a couple of very well kept ales, all served by lovely and enthusiastic staff.
The food is excellent - everything we had was brilliant but may I just highlight the fries specifically are out of this world. I'm not sure how they do it but they are basically triple cooked fries. The crispiness is unreal.
They are excellent with young families too - really welcoming and accommodating.

Absolute gem of a place. Sat by the fire which Jack kept lovely and stoked up for us. The food was amazing full of flavour. I had the chicken roast my partner the pork loin.
Christian ( manager ) and his team are very welcoming and made us feel as if we were sat in our own front room by the fire 😍 walked away feeling full and relaxed and happy! 100% recommend for any occasion. You’ll see is again Christian! So welcoming 😊

Great pub for lunch whether it’s sitting outside on the deck or in a cosy booth near the log fire.
Lunch menu is good & the light menu gives you you delicious sandwich options. The young staff are always friendly & attentive.
Top tip if you fancy the Bear Pub burger which is 5 stars, I’d suggest passing on the bacon & onion ring extras - £4 for 3 x onion rings & a slice of bacon is a joke.

In my own personal opinion I think it's a tad pricey, but that isn't me saying it's bad at all! Every single member of staff was so wonderful and friendly, the food was delicious and portions are perfect!! It's just a very pricey place, I would recommend this for special occasions but not a regular, either way it was a wonderful experience and I loved my time here

Came in on Sunday and had a lovely roast- would recommend the vegan roast ( you can add a Yorkshire pudding for free! ) Our server Issy was lovely as well. thanks again!

I came to The Bear for the first time last week for drinks and was served by such a nice girl - Izzy. She was very personable and made our experience all the better! I will definitely be returning soon.

The service from both the manager and the young server (Esther Winklehner) was amazing and food and drink came in the flash of an eye with no hesitations or dilly dallying. Thank you to all of the staff at the Bear pub in Oxshott

I chose the roast pork but it was very disappointing , rather tasteless. The gravy was far too runny but that may be personal taste! When paying £18 for a roast I would expect more. I understand that diners are sat close together for ease of serving but it did feel like we were party of the table next door to us!

We had a surprise Baby Shower there yesterday! Amazing area with outside balcony just for us! They were SO accommodating and ultra helpful! Can’t rate high enough! Food was great too and lovely staff! Thankyou so much!

Great food and atmosphere. Large selection of beers and ales on tap. Sunday roast was amazing and you should see the size of the Yorkshire piddings !! Starters were so tasty😋 we hired out a private room for a 30th birthday and it was perfect. All the staff made it extra special too 🥳

Excellent cozy pub with perfect food. The service was spot on (thank you Keira) and the Bakewell Tart cocktail was amazing. We'll be going back soon.
