Recently had an amazing stay at this little gem of a B&B.
We travelled over from Kent for a weekend to meet with friends, and my husband found Vera's Kitchen.
We stayed in The Stables, and the room was lovely. We arrived quite late due to the travel over, but we received a message from the hosts to let us know where the keys were.
There is a local shop a couple of minutes walk away, as well as a nice selection of little pubs and eateries.
The breakfasts served at Vera's Kitchen are truly something else. They were absolutely delicious! If I could stay every weekend, I would.
Will definitely be returning in the near future.

My wife and I have just spent two nights at Vera’s B and B. What a fabulous experience. We stayed in the Hayloft which was nice and warm and lovely. The breakfasts were fabulous. But most important, all of the staff were welcoming and friendly and the service was first class. Thoroughly recommended.

Popped in for lunch. We had lovely burgers, and the tasty original gangster and shooter sourdough sandwiches. All the food was fresh, the meat locally sourced. Friendly staff too.

Nice and clean room (we stayed in the stables), friendly staff and fabulous breakfast for a very competitive price!
I was both excited and worried about booking our first trip away with our baby but I have to say our stay was perfect. We had a great evening tasting tapas in the patio (tasty, interesting and well presented) and really indulged on breakfast (one of the best we ever had)
I will definitely be recommending the place while hoping it won't be fully booked next time we visit!

Absolutely love this place, unfortunately have not stayed but couldn’t wait to return to the restaurant after lockdown. Camped nearby at Bridge Campsite but dined twice in one day met a group of friends for breakfast and then returned for tapas. Both meals were delicious, good quality ingredients and the service very friendly and efficient. The breakfast menu is extensive and the tapas were not your normal traditional dishes which made it even more interesting. We particularly liked the smoked beets! Couldn’t fault it and would definitely return and recommend. Thank you Emily for arranging.

There is no doubt that the room and breakfast is excellent. The fast WiFi was essential for planning my days as phone signal was sketchy when out and about. I had mixed feelings about this place. The B&B feels the secondary business. Most B&B hosts are welcoming, ask about your visit and offer suggestions. Not here. I was shown to my room by coffee shop staff that offered little help. There was no rack of leaflets on nearby activities.
Indeed during my stay staff focus was on restocking the bar, planning for Tapas and taking delivery of a pizza oven. I only met with the owners when housekeeping was missed and I needed a towel.
There's no private car park. They have one 'keep clear' space in front of their gate that I was assured wouldn't land a parking ticket. All parking same side of street is free, 2 hour limit. Opposite side of the street is free, no time limit. This did cause me confusion on arrival and inconvenience during my stay, so worth knowing.
I would stay again, but would look for alternatives first.

Fantastic place to stay, the little room we stayed in was clean and the towels smelt fresh and lovely. We had a small problem with the sink draining but that was looked into immediately. The breakfast was amazing and the staff very friendly and helpful. A thoroughly lovely place to stay.

Stayed at this B&B whilst doing the Thames Path walk. Excellent coffee and cake. The breakfast, included in the rate, was great. Lots of choice. Would recommend the Veggie breakfast. There is a small courtyard to the side in which to sit and have your drink/ meal and which also leads to the 3 rooms. Room is small but comfortable. Can be a little noisy early morning as they set up for the day in the courtyard.

Lovely night in the Stables, gorgeous breakfast as always.
We have known Vera's kitchen since our first date in September 2015 and visit them for breakfast a few times yearly.
As it was my partner's birthday, I book us a room as a surprise birthday gift to him.
Breakfast Al fresco in the sunshine was a bonus!
We highly recommend this place, the welcome is always superb, the staff smiling and helpful, the food very very yummy !
Thank you Vera's kitchen!

Only had lunch in the cafe but a really tasty burger and huge egg, bacon and chips sandwich plus 2 cappuccino for £21. Very nice! Only criticism -
the wooden boards they were served on were a bit too small to

Just popped in for coffee and a piece of excellent almond cake. Nice location just down the high street 10 mins walk to the river Thames. Might stay next time in the Bed and Breakfast upstairs.

Lovely cafe with outdoor seating in the courtyard at the back. The staff are friendly and helpful. Food and drinks were freshly prepared and absolutely delicious. I would particularly reccomend the beef burger and ginger/carrot juice. Also the salted caramel milkshake made a fabulous dessert.

Popped in today as we were delivering bags for some of the Thames walkers . The staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. We ordered the breakfast burritos to take away, and they were beautiful. Would highly recommend popping in if you're in the area, you won't be disappointed. Well done guys Sarah @Taylensofcricklade Private hire taxi firm.

The staff were every friendly going above and beyond to help us check in earlier than the usual time. The rooms were beautifully designed, the beds were comfy and cleanliness was to the highest standard. The breakfast served in the morning was exceptionally good especially with freshly squeezed orange juice! However, the tiles in the bathroom were a bit cold and although slippers were provided I didn't use them as I was only staying the one night. Wearing a pair of socks and standing on the bath mat did the trick though so not really something to complain about. The shower was really good and all the necessities were provided, so couldn't have asked for more from this quaint establishment.
Would highly recommend this place for people wanting to stay in Lechlade whether it be popping into the cafe or staying the night in one of their lovely rooms. If I'm ever having to stay in the area again, I'd most definitely come back! 😊💖

Good food, very generous portions, reasonably priced. Excellent coffee. Courteous, efficient, helpful and charming staff set an example for the whole catering trade. Stable room pleasant and quiet with a large comfortable bed. Heating adequate in less than ideal weather. Thoroughly recommended.

Lovely to have Vera's open again. My friends had soup and I had beetroot, feta and hummus on sourdough. Thoroughly enjoyed it, good pot of tea. Friendly service. Did not have cake but they all looked very tempting!
