Had a lovely birthday night here. The all you can eat tapas style perfectly suits sushi and small plates. All the food was either good or very good. Nothing blew me out of the water, it is not a “dining experience” but is very good food done very well and in quantity. Good quality cocktails but somewhat limited choices. Lots of veggie and vegan options here so recommend if you have mixed choices group as you can order your own and not worry about cross contamination or changing your choices to match the group.
A wonderful mix of authentic Japanese and other Asian tapas style dishes. You're provided with an Android style tablet to place your orders from and the waiters are quick to bring the food to you. The food is served in cute dishes but you won't go hungry. The restaurant is smart with some wonderful interior trees for decoration - you'd be happy going here with friends and family or having a business meeting here over lunch. I'll be back here for sure.
Wow absolutely amazing place my daughter took me for father's day. We loved it food freshly cooked and taste wonderful. Staff were great and helpful. If you drink Whisky I recommend trying Japanese whisky 😋 We can't wait to go back.
Excellent food. You can book your seating online so you can avoid queues and waiting time. Best part is all Japanese food in this restaurant is Halal. Lovely chicken n beef dishes. Must try this 👍
Great place! All the food was very tasty and was at the table very quickly which was great. Couldn’t fault the service at all either. Would highly recommend trying this place!
Came here with my partner for our 2 year anniversary and it was the most gorgeous place. The food was unbelievably tasty and there was so many options! Couldn’t recommend more definitely will be coming back soon xx
Oh wow! Don’t have a single bad thing to say about Blue Sakura. Amazing all-you-can-eat Japanese and Korean food - you order on the iPad they place on your table (we recommend 3-4 dishes at a time due to space and not wanting waste!), and everything is made fresh, whether it’s from the grill, teppanyaki, wok, or sushi bar. If you’re new to this kind of thing, don’t worry - the staff will walk you through how to order, and the menu has pictures and descriptions of all the items so you can be sure of what you’re getting!
Cocktails are amazing - no sickly alcohol taste and very well balanced and presented.
Hot food is hot and cold food is cold - our absolute FAVAOURITES were the chicken/beef teriyaki bao, pumpkin croquettes, Dynamite Roll, and cooked spicy salmon temaki.
Do not pass-up the ‘fried buns’ (the only dessert on their lunchtime menu), which are lovely and crispy on the outside but fluffy and cloud-like on the inside, and comes with a little pot of condensed milk to dip or drizzle.
Finally, the staff - so funny, friendly, and welcoming. Most dishes (depending on how it is prepared or cooked) are out in 5-10minutes after ordering, and this was on a busy Saturday lunch sitting. They’re so efficient and professional, and nothing ever feels rushed or impersonal.
I will recommend this to anyone, and we will absolutely be back!
Blue Sakura has been on our list for a while, and we finally decided to try out their 'all you can eat' service. They present a unique concept of Japanese-style tapas, featuring sushi and Asian-style grilled dishes for a set price (£40.95). They do advise to order only what you can finish, as they are not in favor of food wastage.
Our bill totaled £105, including drinks. The Sakura bloom mocktail we ordered was both refreshing and flavorful.
The lamb chops were mouthwatering! Juicy, tender, and flavorful with a distinct desi-style seasoning that elevated their taste. Highly recommended trying these!
The gyoza offered a delectable combination of balanced flavors, a thin and crispy skin, along with a savory filling, resulting in a delightful blend of textures and tastes.
The prawn tempura was incredibly tasty and had a delightful crunch. We really enjoyed them and the beef noodles were bursting with flavor, while the sushi was delicious.
We indulged in the Japanese deep-fried buns, which showcased a crispy outside and a tender inside. We wouldn’t say it was the best we’ve had but it was delicious! No
All ill say is try it yourself if you’re in Leeds for work or visiting family. It’s an all you can eat in 2 hours concept for a flat price. drinks and dessert are add ons but the experience is fun - especially if you love a small plates vibe. The spicy could have been spicier and the sashimi a bit fresher but the cooked foods were fab!
Had a lovely meal here. Went for the first time with family. I'm glad we went with other people, because they gave us good tactics for ordering! You order in rounds, there are 5 rounds and you can order up to 6 dishes per round (apologies if I've got that wrong). You order on tablets. It's a great idea to start putting your next round together whilst you're waiting for your food to arrive. My favourites were the king prawn tempura, salt and pepper chicken, king prawn yaki soba, grilled courgettes. I did not like the kung po chicken or the Korean chicken. They tasted very similar, the chicken had an unpleasant taste and texture. I was so full by the end but the deep fried buns with ice cream for dessert were lovely.
