Went here for lunch with friends on a Monday and enjoyed a good meal in pleasant surroundings. The buildings are some distance from the road, but the route is in better condition than the public road. There is also a gift shop here and an extensive garden centre. The car park was large, though fairly rough. There was plenty of seating inside the restaurant, but it was pretty full nonetheless - mostly older adults. Not a vast choice on the menu, but good food.
It takes a bit of time to sit in, but once you sit, the service is fast. The second time we went, they said they would have a table in about 30 min, so we left. We found it strange as we could see two vacant tables and there was no queue.
Called in for a bite to eat and a bit of shopping on a recent Saturday.
The plant and seed choices were fabulous, and prices are very reasonable.
We purchased food and drinks from the takeaway. Good choice, although our sandwich was very dry. The shop has a wide variety of items from food, celebration cards, scarfs. Lovely to peruse.
Every member of staff we came across was delightful.
We will definitely be visiting again.
Wonderful afternoon tea, it can be hard to hear when the restaurant gets full. Nice nursery as well.
Lovely gardens with children's play area and view of aircraft taking off in the distance. The café is good but you can bring a picnic and eat outside. I bought a lovely pair of earrings and they have a good selection of birthday cards. Caring for Life is a worthwhile charity to support.
Caring for Life is a Christian charity caring for vulnerable people. At the farm there is a farm shop, coffee shop, restaurant and garden centre, run by paid staff, volunteers and beneficiaries. Good food ,lovely staff, beautiful walks and an amazing welcoming atmosphere for babies up to the elderly - truly sharing the love of Jesus.
Lovely venue. A few more food choices in main courses, perhaps some pasta dishes?
The nursery and gardens were very good.
All in all an enjoyable visit. Will go again :)
Called in whilst working. The staff were very accommodating and really friendly and the food was outstanding!! I'd definitely recommend here and would happily return. 😋
Split into two here really hence the 4 stars, 5 stars for the food, its amazing the breakfast there is just fantastic. It inspired me to start making proper scrambled eggs (nice and creamy) and the service is also great in the restaurant. The shop is a bit limited given the space which is understanable, there also only ever seems to be one person serving the till and the deli counter which can take some time. There's also a garden shop section, which has plenty of choice, however the plants need a bit of TLC as a lot of them are covered in spiderwebs, which I don't mind, but would put off any arachnophobes.
Love this place! Always book when eating as it's so popular...a few miles off the beaten track but we'll worth a visit...visit the nursery while you're there as the choice of plants is amazing and such good value
