Lovely restaurant, great food but just a little more thought ought to go into table arrangements for larger groups. There were only 14 of us and the restaurant was not busy but I found the service to be very slow. Our waiter tried his hardest and I can't imagine how the service would have been if the restaurant had been busy. Having said all of that the French onion soup was absolutely delicious. My fish stew wasn't the best I'd ever had but it was comparable. The depth of the flavours made the dish lip smacking, I'd definitely choose it again. I didn't have dessert but those who did said that they were all very good. It was my friend's birthday and I wish that they had made just a little bit of fuss of her. All in all a lovely meal was had by all.

Lovely experience. The staff were very attentive, helpful and friendly. The chicken liver parfait was delicious. I had the half chicken which was juicy but lacked somewhat in flavour. If you are having dessert, the creme brulee is delicious! Relaxed atmosphere, good wines and decent food. I can't believe I haven't been here before... I will definitely like to return.

Really enjoyed the one course lunch. Salmon & haddock fishcake, wilted spinach and poached egg, served with a glass of house wine. Great value at £10.95p.

On a busy pre Christmas lunchtime without a reservation we were lucky to obtain a table after a ten minute wait in the bar area with a drink promptly supplied. Helpful and attentive staff. Interesting menu, generous portions, not over priced. The Toulouse sausage cassoulet was tasty, filing and not requiring additional sides. Definitely warrents another visit.

Lovely steak tartare starter! Excellent service! But £25 Chinon not worth the money as very thin 😕
