Popped in today for lunch. Food and service was excellent. Alex was the perfect host and looked after us really well throughout our visit. We will be back

Portions were very large, and mains arrived quickly, despite the restaurant being very busy. Batter on the fish was crispy, and the right amount of thickness. Puddings took a little while to arrive, but were great when they did- I especially liked the ginger ice cream! Only complaint was, it was a bit noisy, but guess this is to be expected on a Saturday night. Would probably come again, but at a slightly quieter time

Really good pub with great decor. Has plenty of outdoor seating. Opening hours Monday to Thursday 11.30 am - 11 pm; Friday to Saturday 11.30 am - midnight; Sunday 12 noon to 11 pm. Sunday roasts every Sunday 12 - 7. Good range of beers. Handpulled cask beers were Rooster's Brewing Co's Buckeye Pale Ale, Ilkley Brewery's Blonde, Cameron's Strongarm, Tooth & Claw's Barley-Quin Blonde, Leeds Brewery Pale, Leeds Best and Leeds Brewery Midnight Bell Rich Dark Ale. Stone flagged floors, woodburners, old industrial interior, loos upstairs as well as more dining space. 3 rooms downstairs including cosy snug. Only had a drink but food looks fab. Proper pub!

This was my first time in the UK. I’ve heard about the meat pies here, but I’ve never had one before. The steak and ale pie here was DELICIOUS! If I’m ever back in town again, I know where I’m going!

Lovely date night meal. I reserved a table for two and it was a brilliant touch that our table had a named reserved sign waiting for us. My date was extremely impressed! Food excellent, could have ordered anything from the menu really the choice was outstanding. I recommend "the midnight bell" dark ale if your into real ale. Will be coming back 😀

We arrived to a packed pub with a lively but not noisy atmosphere. We had not booked but the staff tried everything they could to accommodate us. We eventually got seated and the staff were polite despite us, in my opinion messing about with seating,- 10 bossy women out for Christmas- need I say more. Well the staff went above and beyond and did not appear to be frustrated with us. Great place in Summer too.

The roast dinner has to be one of the best in Leeds. It's a bit on the expensive side (£18.50 + £5 sides), but the quality is there so I didn't mind paying for it. Roasties and meat were top notch, and it was a good portion. Staff were great and they have a really good drinks selection. Good for a cosy winters Sunday & worth a go in summer too as the beer garden is great. Edit: seen the pub replies to reviews - genuinely interested in what spice the red cabbage is braised in as it was amazing and distinctive but I couldn't put my finger on it.

There was about a hand full of people when we came in and found a table at the main bar area. Quitely having a drink when the flood gates opened up. The Leeds United game let out and this place got wall to wall packed with people. The back beer garden was overflowing. They didn't seem too upset the team will be relegated after today's tie with Newcastle (this visit was May 2023).

It's a really stylish, cosy pub that serves one of the best Sunday roasts that I've ever had. Lots of food and drink choices, plenty of tables, both inside and out, with friendly and efficient staff. Highly recommended.

My wife my daughter and I have just left the midnight bell after a mother's Day lunch. Firstly, the staff were brilliant. Every single one had a smile and everyone who engaged with us was top draw, from the moment we walked in until we left. A really good selection of beers but that's to be expected, we all went for the Sunday roast. Two of us had beef one had chicken, excellent quality food really well prepared and plated. Will definitely be back here and this place deserves loads of credit. Well done to each and every one of you. You clearly run a very tight ship.
