There was about a hand full of people when we came in and found a table at the main bar area. Quitely having a drink when the flood gates opened up. The Leeds United game let out and this place got wall to wall packed with people. The back beer garden was overflowing. They didn't seem too upset the team will be relegated after today's tie with Newcastle (this visit was May 2023).
My wife my daughter and I have just left the midnight bell after a mother's Day lunch. Firstly, the staff were brilliant. Every single one had a smile and everyone who engaged with us was top draw, from the moment we walked in until we left.
A really good selection of beers but that's to be expected, we all went for the Sunday roast. Two of us had beef one had chicken, excellent quality food really well prepared and plated.
Will definitely be back here and this place deserves loads of credit. Well done to each and every one of you. You clearly run a very tight ship.
It's a really stylish, cosy pub that serves one of the best Sunday roasts that I've ever had. Lots of food and drink choices, plenty of tables, both inside and out, with friendly and efficient staff. Highly recommended.
We had our wedding reception here this weekend & couldn't be happier with how the day went.
The place is beautiful - rustic, cosy function room and outdoor space included; the food was delicious with generous portions - all our guests were catered to, sensitivities were considered & everyone loved thier meals. Full table service was provided. Yaz did an amazing job coordinating the day & dressing the venue exactly as requested. Her kindness and attention to detail definitely shows how much she loves her job! We can't thank you enough for all your hard work on a busy weekend & we really appreciate how attentive all the staff were.
All in all the day was perfect & we'd highly recommend hosting any event here.
We chose midnight bell as the venue for a colleagues farewell party. It has been a pelassant experience right from finding the venue to arranging the party. It's entrance deceptively hides a very spacious pub with an 'upstairs room' that can be hired for private parties. We were provided with a soud system that we could connect our own music too, there is space for a makeshift dance floor with seating arranged along the walls. We ordered the barbeque option for food. There was plenty delicious food. The service was good, staff are friendly and helpful. Yaz the events manager was exceptionally helpful, prompt with her responses and made necessary accomodations for all our requests. Would definitely recommend Midnight bell for small group parties and delicious food and amazing drinks. The only small criticism I have is the vegetarian food options of the BBQ menu, while all our meat eating friends were well fed, the vegetarians were left a teeny bit hungry as the quantity was small.
But overall, amazing place, great drinks, good ambience and excellent service.
Beautiful pub, great food and really friendly staff. Sat upstairs to eat. There were 7 of us but we were still served in good time. Can also sit outside if the weather is good.
My wife and I are massive fans of the Midnight Bell. Recently we shared a table in the cosy upstairs space and had such a relaxing evening and a lovely meal.
The quality of the food is consistently outstanding. Vegan options are never a step down from the rest of the menu—which is always a good sign—and there's always an array of great food to be had.
Greater even than the food, though, is the service. The staff are endlessly helpful and make you feel so welcome.
Thanks again to everyone at the Midnight Bell, and a personal thank you from us to Yaz who always looks after us 😊
I booked the upstairs room for a birthday party and it was brilliant. A great room, speakers provided for music, and really great staff who were pleasant and helpful both in the run-up and on the day. It's a great pub, and a really nice building.
Amazing food all fresh homemade 😋 good prices staff are lovely and helpful
Highly recommended
Finally I have tasted the Sunday roast with Yorkshire pudding 🍮.
