My favorite piace in Leeds for a Coffee. Top quality food and drinks, intimate atmosphere and super nice staff! Totally recommend, especially if you like to help an independent local cafe growing and at the same having the best quality of service at decent prices!
Lovely food ..real pleasant staff
Great coffee recommend avacado on toast
In Headingley, where lovely independent cafes and coffee shops are far from rare, Bare Coffee still manages to stand out as being somewhere special.
The cafe is tiny. There are a few tables and chairs inside but I think the capacity for customers must be about 10. Outside at the front there are a couple more tables and there are a few more in the back garden. Fortunately we were able to find space at a table in the back.
The atmosphere indoors is chaotic but fun, three members of staff shout orders and jokes to each other behind the tiny coffee bar, each of them laughing and jostling for space. You get the impression that your order won't be delivered very quickly but that it will be worth the wait, and the chaos is exciting rather than stressful, the laughter is infectious.
This contrasts to the garden areas which are far more relaxed. Personally, given the right weather, I could happily spend all day here. It's perhaps more of a courtyard than a garden, but it's lined with plants, including strawberry plants. The strawberries were just starting to ripen during my visit and I couldn't help worndering if they use them in their recipes.
I ordered the Spanish picadillo hash. It came with fried potatoes, cherry tomatoes, chorizo, black pudding and a fried egg. My sister's enormous veggie breakfast came with sourdough toast (all the bread comes from the Leeds Bread Co-op and loaves are available to buy from the cafe), mushrooms, eggs, cherry tomatoes and leak and cheese veggie sausages. We also both ordered delicious Soy lattes, the coffee is North Star. Everything was exactly as delicious as it sounds.
If you're in the Headingley area and looking for brunch I really doubt you could find anything better.
This is an absolute hidden charm of a coffee shop with great roasted beans and top notch coffee machine. Going here for brunch was like a little memory trip down an Italian lane with Latin music playing and a healthy bottle of red and white (juice). Just perfect to accompany my partner who was just out of the LGI and the hospitality was second to none in Leeds with a smile, giggle and a cosy blanket. Lovely locals bobbin in and located in a creative community. Not regretted spending a penny or two here.
Cafe with organic market. Small and wholesome, there should be more places like this. Mine’s an oat flat white, an apple and seat on the bench outside.
Quirky cafe selling organic vegetables, savoury pastries, brownies to die for and great coffee. There is no sign and it doesn't look like it's high quality, but all the products we've tried have been amazing and the locals all know about this place. It's a little hidden down Weetwood Lane, but definitely worth a trip. Lots of Parking here, but we walked. Staff are super friendly too :)
Probably the best organic food you could find in the whole of Leeds! Everything made in this little place is made with 100% pure love! Great place to buy local fruit, veg, bread, milk, eggs, tea, coffee......take your reusable bag- these guys don’t deal with single use plastics!!!!
Stuart and co at Bare Coffee - a bastion of Weetwood. Great place, recommend
Lovley little cafe, so pleased Google recommended it. Definitely coming here for breakfast again. We had a full English and a veggie hash. All cooked perfectly. This is how good food should be. Just wish it was on my way to work so I could call in for a bulletproof coffee ! 😁
Went for breakfast early Saturday morning. Sun was shining so sat outside. Great food made from fresh ingredients, freshly pressed orange juice and wonderful coffee. Sorry about the photos of partially devoured food but we couldn't wait to tuck in!
We enjoyed delicious coffee and almond croissants here earlier this week. Wonderful place with the warmest of welcomes.
Really good coffee here and the little one had an excellent juice and almond croissant.
Would be good if they had something more for brekkie, think we were a little early.
Lovely owners and friendly service. Excellent little spot for your morning coffee and pastries or to even buy your fruit and veg
