The Palace

Had a great time here a few weeks ago using the 20% off offer for students! Everyone was really friendly and helpful. The staff member who dealt with me knew the menu really well and gave us some good recommendations on what to eat. Also really liked the new TV in the beer garden. Will definitely be booking a table in the beer garden for the Euro matches. Thank you again!

Having been recommended to try the food here by a good friend, We did exactly that. If I tried, I quite honestly wouldn't be able to find fault in the food we were served tonight. Without doubt, for the price range at the Palace, the food is of exceptional quality. I will certainly before too long be dining there again. Thank you.

Visit too the Sunday Night Quiz. This was an extraordinarily good quiz. I hope nobody gets to find out about it so I can enjoy it, the prizes, the pizza and a pint unchallenged. I prefer not to make a thing of it, but here is what I wrote in my diary: Chris and Phil did a quiz for four teams. Their first night here. It was none competitive. I wish it had been busier. But it wasn’t. Now, to draw the analogy: If two chefs turned up and prepared a most excellent smorgasbord of delicious food, and nobody turned up to eat it, bar two couples who had already eaten, a group of students, and one self-styled gastronome, it would be disappointing. But it would not diminish the quality of the meal. This was a most excellent quiz, perfectly presented with inordinately generous prizes. I really hope in a year’s time I can’t get a seat at 8 o’clock. If people get to know about this that will be the case. absolute *****

Been going to this pub for many years and it’s changed a lot in style. On a night just before Christmas I’ve never seen it so full. Good beer selection and plenty of space to sit down if you want. Very handy for Leeds Bus Station or if you are on a pub run in the Calls or South East area of the city.
