An amazing family friendly cafe, with great views of the aircrafts and runway. The staff are friendly and accommodating, there is always tasty home made food and cakes on the menu, perfect to take home to treat yourself and the littles. It's such a great place to eat that it becomes a little bit addictive 😋 well done 👏 Todays choice pea and ham soup yum yum
Literally the Best Breakfast I've ever had ! Coffee is great and the staff here are Tremendous. Enjoy a coffee whilst watching planes take off on the runway. I might add that there's a £2 parking fee
This is such a super find. The food is simple but always delicious, especially the breakfast. Very well cooked and presented beautifully. The staff are the nicest , friendliest people, nothing is too much trouble for them. Everything is served with a smile and a cheery conversation. The final bonus is that you can watch the planes take off and land at LBA. Great if you have children.
Absolutely amazing place, good food with friendly service. Cafe is located just next to the airport fence with good view on the runway. There are few picnic benches outside. During our visit (December 2022) it was nice and warm inside, assorted fresh cakes available, good coffee and breakfast /lunch, omelette, sandwiches and panini. Parking £2/hr.
The Multiflight Cafe Bar now closes at 3.30pm, not 4pm.
The staff are friendly.
The indoor seating is padded.
The outdoor seating consists of picnic benches but they are an upmarket design and finish.
The cafe itself is at ground level so there is not a really great view of the runway. And, on account of large hangers obscuring the view of the south eastern end of the runway, you can only see the north western end.
So I would not score this very highly for plane enthusiasts.
Nevertheless, nearby, along the access road, there is extensive parking at £2/hour (as at August 2022) from which you can see a little more of the runway.
Along the access road there are numerous factory units served by noisy scrubbers, aka extraction fans. This means the whole area is polluted with a constant hum.
A bottle of chilled sparkling mineral water was £1.50 in August 2022. That’s a fair price for a cafe to charge.
Overall this is a worthwhile visit if you enjoy watching the comings and goings at a small international airport, and want a meal, cake or refreshments.
First time visiting as only recently hearing about this place. Lovely food great quality of ingredients (we had the breakfast) and brilliant attentiveness from the staff. Will easily see ourselves been regulars!
Very popular with families with children from what I saw. We arrived just at right time to get a free table at window so got a good view of planes. Food was good and seemed to be priced fairly.
Friendly cafe with some delicious weekly specials.
Please be aware that food is only served until 14:30, with hot/cold drinks and cakes being available until 15:00-ish. The doors are closed at 15:30.
Great for a couple of hours watching the planes but the food really let's the place down. It's not that it's bad. But for the price it's bad. We had a pannini, Meatball sub and kids sausage and chips. It was all okay, nothing special, except the Meatball sub. This was dry beef in some really bland sauce (supposed to be spicy) on a soggy hotdog bun. To be honest it was disgusting and really let the place down.
Excellent value and friendly service. This is a local gem. Try the club sandwhich, it's massive! My kids love going there.
