I've not been here for many years, it's a bit out of the way but I was nearby so stopped for lunch. It's a traditional pub with three real ales but the food is restaurant quality and a cut above the average pub food, well presented and clearly home made. We had three courses and everything was excellent, swift service and reasonable prices given the quality. We are on a weekday and the place was quiet but we would definitely return.
Great food. Generous portions. Great beer. Good value. Great service. Friendly atmosphere. What more could you ask for!? Korean pork, battered cod sandwich, prawn and hot smoked salmon salad all delicious.
Found us a table even though they were booked up. Nice food. friendly staff, good beer.
