I've not been here for many years, it's a bit out of the way but I was nearby so stopped for lunch. It's a traditional pub with three real ales but the food is restaurant quality and a cut above the average pub food, well presented and clearly home made. Great food. Generous portions. Great beer. Good value. Great service. Friendly atmosphere. What more could you ask for!? Korean pork, battered cod sandwich, prawn and hot smoked salmon salad all delicious.
Found us a table even though they were booked up. Nice food. friendly staff, good beer.

I couldn't fault the Blacksmiths before but recently the food seems to have gone up a level. Love the welcoming atmosphere and Dexter the pub dog is a family favourite. Great beer garden for the upcoming sunny weather aswell.
Popped in for lunch yesterday, 1st time we've been there and what a lovely place, comfortable seating with a warm and friendly greeting as we entered the pub, we choose Fish and Chips, a Chicken Vegetable dish and Vegetable Couscous. Whilst we waited we had drinks, aside from the usual larger/beers

Don’t normally leave reviews but came here for a nice evening meal on a recommendation and what a little gem of a pub it is. Ended up having a full 3 course meal because the food was just so good and great value.
