Fish and chips were both great, I ordered the smaller portion which still had a very generous portion of chips but the fish piece was a little bit small compared to other fish and chip shops. Both were cooked really well though, chips were crispy and hot and the fish batter was really good.
Got my order immediately and staff seemed really nice. Would defo go back if I'm in the mood for fish and chips.

One of the good spots to get a decent fish and chips. It is quick and nicely made. Staffs are nice and there is plenty of seats. If you’re nearby, don’t think twice, give them a visit.

Got to queue up for a bit but definitely worth it. Great The Fisherman’s Wife Value Meal (Fishcake) and a traditional fish and chip! And with gravy of course! Probably one of the best chippy I ever had.

Inside the street market we found this fish and chips shop. We could sit down outside on their tables. Long queues all day. Very nice food.

This place has got to be one of the best fish and chip shops in leeds and surrounding areas ,best quality ,clean and presentation is spot on thank you for the lovely food

The shop is hosted by the old ladies. I am not sure whether they are the fishermen's wife. The fish and chips are good.It is only takeaway but you can eat at the tables and seats provided.
But the payment system is not good. Maybe the wifi is not good.
The location as shown in google may not be update, maybe the location has moved. It is near Jenny's Jerk kitchen.

Chips are amazing and you get a decent portion, scraps are always nice to the only reason for the 4 stars is some of the staff sometime seem a little rude and the fact that a can of pop costs £1.65 you could go elsewhere and get a bottle for that price, food is good value the drinks not so much

Great food but a shame about the staff, they could do with a bit of customer service training as they seem to be a bit on the miserable side. Friendliness and service with a smile really do make a big difference.

Having moved to Leeds nearly a year ago it took a while to find a good chippy. I tried The Fishermans Wife for the first time a few weeks ago. I came for the food and return frequently for the lovely service. Very clean and a nice calm atmosphere. My only complaint would be not enough seating at busy times, but I couldn't knock off a star for that. Why wouldnt it be busy?
Inexpensive for the quality of the food. Give the fishcake a try. Delicious.
Sorry I couldn't leave a photo. Scoffed it too fast! Youll have to go and see for yourself.

Just been to day. I Love Fisherman's Wife. I think this is the best fish and chip shop In leeds. Me, my mam and dad used to go to it when it was under the name of Gravely's then changed to Fisherman's Wife. My fiance likes to come here too.

Worst chips I’ve ever been served. I should have known when I saw a man throw his away outside.
