Remedy

This little place is a gem on the high street, I had a bad beard cut at another local barber here in Leeds and tried to find the closest place that doesn't force you to book days in advance so I could get a quick fix, the girl behind the counter was very friendly and welcoming to me and my daughter who I had with me and made sure during the busy waiting time I would have a place, she gave us drinks on the house which was really nice and even though I actually did not have much done to my beard, Zanear the Barber made sure to give me some insight first on how to fix my beard problem and I could tell he was experienced and knew what he was talking about. I wish I had discovered here first before I went to the other place, Zanear's advice for me was to wait a few weeks for my beard to grow more and he could properly fix it. I appreciated his advice instead of just going with it for the sake of another customer. Even though I did not get much done, he didn't charge me for his time and his honesty was appreciated which is why I am giving 5 stars and I can't wait to come back in a few weeks time to get my beard done properly!

This place has a cafe/ bar with a barbers upstairs. Its called Bar Remedy Barbers now. Went in for a coffee. They have oat milk as the alternative. A decaffe oat milk mocha and a decaffe latte was £5 which I found really good value for Leeds. Really nice atmosphere, good service, comfy seats and good music. They also serve alcohol and have a cheese board deal.

Great staff, all of whom know what they are doing. Very low turnover - the same people have been there for the last 4+ years. Really nice, friendly environment. Wash, cut and style as standard for £27. Not the cheapest barber, but worth the money. They accept card and contactless now, which is a massive plus. Only real downside is that they don't take appointments, so you can't reliably squeeze your visit into a lunch break and often end up waiting around for quite a while in the evening.

This place is incredible. Barber shop for a hair cut or a hot towel shave done the traditional way! It's a shame I can only give Remedy Barbers 5 stars, they deserve a lot more. The cafe bar serves amazing coffee, pastries and snacks or head to the basement and have a Rum, Gin or glass of Wine in the bar called Poisen. Whatever you're after you need to check this place out.
