First time getting a chippy from here tonight, scoffed it in no time, banging fish, lovely battered sausage, chips were decent, curry sauce and mushy peas were top, and a good service for a first time customer 😁

Visiting mum from London. Always look forward to the fish and chips from Daisy Fisheries. New owners are very pleasant and know how to cook fish and chips 👍Price also reasonable.

Fish always cooked fresh as you walk in, means there is a little wait but I'd rather have it freshly done. Friendly owners and a decent price considering the recent rise in everything! Will be visiting again soon.

I don't usually post reviews but this chip shop needs praise for handling of the pandemic. Staff always wear properly worn mask, ie over mouth AND nose. They don't just have the sign limiting numbers in the shop but I've seen this enforced with people asked to wait outside. When they follow and insist on this level of covid precaution you know the food hygiene levels will also be exceptional. I often walk past other take aways in area and see staff wearing masks with noses visible over the chin. Here it seems everything has been taken seriously. As other reviewers have said, everything is always cooked to order and I've never had a bad meal here.

Great chip shop and my preferred choice locally. Always hot, cooked to order (never those horrible brown chips that have been cooking for too long or stiff and undercooked). I like that they offer different sizes of fish, it's nice to be able to order a small haddock and still get a decent portion without having to buy more than you need and being charged for the privilege. Lovely staff, always friendly and will chat. It always looks and feels clean and it's great that all their packaging is recyclable, cardboard trays, paper bags, no polystyrene or plastic. Good work, keep it up!

Used to be our local chippy, moved away 8 years ago, always wanted the kids to try the fish and chips from here. Today was the day, all five of us in the car, bit unsure when we discovered it had changed hands BUT worry not, kids said it was best fish and chips EVER and were glad they didn't go to McDonald's...i don't think you can get a better review than that from 3 eight year olds. Definitely a winner, well done, highly recommend if you want fresh fish, crispy batter, tasty chips, even the scraps were nice.

Wonderful friendly staff and cooked fresh. Always quality fish. The homemade tartar sauce is rarely available but all the more delicious for its scarcity.

have been going to daisy fisheries since i was a kid, then was taken over by Robert and family who kept the tradition of large portions at good prices and brilliant quality. always a chat and a smile when entering, fish cooked to order to ensure freshness too. no frozen fish here. haddock is the mainstay as found in west yorks everywhere. also fried in beef dripping not veg oil.. again the way us yorskhire folk like it. chips are like mini roast potatoes, fresh fish etc. cant go wrong. special n chips wi scraps , mushy peas and a can of dandelion and burdock keep your michelin stars and fancy food. this is proper fish n chips done the yorkshire way. best chippy anywhere and i tell folk who que at the magpie in whitby... get thisen on stanningley road for the real stuff. never had a bone or skin yet :)
