Nicely cooked fresh haddock. Great atmosphere Never ate in a fish restaurant with chandler's and piano playing!
Take away fish and chips only £8.30 and good sized portion. Today I ate in. Fish and chips regular size £12.95 with tea/coffee and one slice of buttered bread. The Fish and chips was tasty and the batter was crispy and not overdone. Tea came in two pots one with one tea bag which was too weak for
Faultless fish and chips served in the traditional Yorkshire way with a very nice cup of tea. No buttered white bread though - is this part of the tradition on its way out? The Whaler occupies the old Harry Ramsdens building at White Cross, Guiseley and oozes historic chippy charisma. Service was ve
A lovely experience service second to none and the fish and chips tdf :) thank you 😊
Traditional fish and chips, served in the original home of Harry Ramsden's - quality food served in 'tea time' style and if you're lucky enough to get a table on the weekend, you can enjoy the pianist who accompanies you while you eat.
Lovely & spacious, staff were very pleasant and courteous, offering a choice of seating. We were given plenty of time to peruse menu. Lovely food, being able to enjoy it in a relaxing atmosphere made it more enjoyable. Cleanliness of restaurant and facilities, immaculate! Thank you for making our 2
Went to the takeaway fish and chips counter. I was served very quickly. Fish was superb (I didn't have chips!) Not cheap here, but still good value with the quality. Staff were really helpful and friendly.
This will be the fourth time I've been to this restaurant with family and have not been disappointed at any point. Great food and plenty of choices, the staff are friendly and considerate and the prices are good. We ordered the regular haddock and chips and treacle sponge and custard for dessert.
1st time visiting here and loved it. The decor was traditional with a cosy vibe and toilets were clean. All main meals come with complimentary tea/coffee. The fish was crispy and light (not too greasy), chips were perfect chip shop style. The curry sauce was one of the best I've ever tried. Pianist

Excellent fish, chips, curry sauce and peas...with scraps of course! Desserts plentiful and very tasty. A pleasant pre Christmas atmosphere. Well worth a visit.
We were a little disappointed o this visit as the Fish was very greasy and left a pool of oil on the plate The chips were not up to the usual standard either but this may have been due to the potato used. They have stopped serving Bread/butter with the specials due to wastage ( can't blame them)so
Great Food, good service, cannot complain, added bonus is that they will fry the food in vegetable oil which is good if your a Muslim like me, you gave to ask them if you want the food in vegetable oil. They also provide gluten-free food, the staff is friendly, I was served by a young lad called Ja
Excellent fish and chips. Options of regular, large and the 'whale'. Friendly service and nice atmosphere. We visited on a Sunday and there was a pianist.
