Food is decent for a takeaway. Dont expect something very fresh. Overall maybe slightly overpriced for what it is⁸

Best takeaway in Leeds. Great food, better prices, fast service, award winning kebabs, and in a convenient location for students too - its dangerous how good Zulfis is

I can tell you this, it's been 4 months in Leeds and I have tried a variety of Biryanis here. However, only one compelled this Indian to eat rice with his hands in England. We love to eat food with our hands, even more so when the taste is so bloody good that you wanna lick your fingers even after the meal is over. With Zulfi's biryani, I can assure you that it hits the spot. With respect to flavour, the aroma and the quality of meat, this restaurant will meat your meet needs.(a little word play)

One day I was sat on the toilet with my phone, as you do, casually scrolling through articles on my phone to distract me from the pain of the inferior donner kebab from last night making it's slow departure. I stumbled upon an article I assumed to be another standard lad bible clickbait poor excuse for journalism, but it was titled "best donner in the UK". Intrigued, and desperately searching for an alternative donner which doesn't make your buttocks look like the flag of Japan upon exit like my local kebab shop, I clicked on the article while letting out a slow but inquisitive sounding fart, the sort that has an inflexion towards the end. Right there, in front of me, at number 1, I saw Zulfi's in Leeds. This was a problem. I live in Birmingham. Zulfi's is not in Birmingham. I hope you can see where the problem lies. With the thought of my huge overdraft in the back of the mind, bringing Zulfi's to Birmingham was not a viable option. Therefore I had to go to Zulfi's. I whipped open Megabus' website, £10 return to Leeds, this is exactly what I was looking for. Yes the bus might smell like my toilet currently does, but it's cheap, that's all that matters. Fast forward 2 days and I'm walking towards Zulfi's. I see it standing their in brilliance, the mecca of donner kebabs attracting me towards it's bright neon lights; I felt like Beyonce walking up to the mic in front of her many fans. As I entered the shop, the sweet sweet smell of kebab hits my nasal cavity, dilates my pupils and finally, I had found the chicken to my jalfrezi. As the soft sound of Tum Hi Ho resonated in my ear drums and blessed me in its euphoric truth that manifested in the epitome of heaven, this was a truly eye opening epiphany as to how kebab should be made. I asked Mohammad behind the counter to give me the very best that they have to offer, I was told that there is no best, perfection has no comparatives. Pleased by his answer, I asked for the biggest meal they had, I didn't come all this way to be left with a disappointing English sized portion and burning anal sphincters. He informed me of the presence of a magnificent creation called the mega naan kebab in his angelic voice. I didn't know what to expect, but with the word mega, this kebab must have been given birth to by the Virgin Mary herself. As I looked outside, pondering life's great mysteries, like why we have pubic hair, and why men have nipples; I noticed 3 wise old men riding past on donkeys bearing gifts, homemade chilli sauce, fresh naan and fresh salad. At this point I knew my kebab had been born. The moment I laid my eyes upon the holy light emerging from my kebab, I knew I had made the right decision, choosing 7up over sprite. As I took my kebab from the soft caring hands of Mohammad, as well as the free drink he offered me for having come all this way, I gazed at in adoration, with a swiff of the homemade chilli sauce giving me all sorts of sensations my 3rd wife never could. And then I ate it and it was yummy in my tummy. 5 stars! #WinnerWinnerChickenDonner

Promised to make this review, so I won't back out on that: Best chicken in Leeds I've had, amazing chilli sauce (really amazing) and the best thing of all is the great service and friendly staff. Always helpful and always accommodating. We visit Zulfi's quite a lot and we intend to continue our visits for a long time to come. Thanks to all of you.

Went here a couple of years ago and didn't rate it. But popped back in since it got refurbished, looks loads cleaner, menu is a lot clearer and the food I had was loads better than a couple of years ago. I can only speak for the curries as that's all I've tried but I got a tikka and even though it was 8 quid it was top notch (it was so expensive as it's a special), wasn't oily and all tasted fresh with good quality meat. If you gave me that at a restaurant I wouldn't complain. Along with Pitza Cano's got to be the top takeaway in Hyde Park.
