Stopped off here for a bite to eat before our Europe gig at the De Montfort Hall. What a really nice pub, really friendly staff, the gammon steak I had was perfect and my wife loved her steak too. I would recommend dropping into this pub for a visit and a bite to each. Highly recommend.
More than pleasantly surprised...Had the Korean Pork Boa buns and chips washed down with a frosted pint of Neck oil... delicious!! Big shout out to Neil, great service from a great guy!
We visited here this evening. Sam was warm and welcoming and looked after us during our visit. The service was great. The food was hot, tasty and delicious. Thank you for restoring our faith.
I used to go here regularly, but over the years, I haven't been able to go. However, it's nice to see that both beers and food are lots better, in my opinion. I tried a pint of Blue Moon, and I'm happy to experience it as it goes down nicely and with it's flavour, made it thoroughly enjoyable but as its over 5% vol, I could only have 2 pints.
Also, a mouth watering, plate of fish and chips was thoroughly enjoyable within the spacious restaurant inside and a lovely beer garden to complete our visit on a hot day. Please check which options they have for vegetarians as, unfortunately, I didn't look at the menu.
I've eaten here a few times over the last few years and am always impressed. It's a standard pub food menu, with some good vegetarian and vegan options, made with love. Tonight we had pie, chips and greens (perfectly cooked, I might add) and a burger. Both were very good and reasonably priced.
Decent size beer garden as well as a good amount of indoor seating.

Service is friendly and welcoming and I noticed some ladies (as well as gents) sitting alone, so it's clear that people feel comfortable here.
Didn't eat here but will in the future as the menu sounds good and the food we saw looked really delicious and good value.
We did drink inn here on 2 occasions and both times we were impressed with the friendliness and knowledgeable staff and the range of drinks on offer. We sampled a range of beers and cocktails.
We ordered two Sunday dinners one starter and a pudding snd it was £21.95 each it was incredible the soup was tomato and Cajun pepper and honestly hands down best soup I've ever tasted!!!
The Sunday dinner is just EPIC!!!
We had a cheeky chocolate cake for dessert and it was perfect!
The lady that served us was so friendly and attentive!

It's perfect for going out for drinks with friends, or just on a date. Haven't tried the food so far, but planning to.

So tasty - falafel, hummus & olives with tasty skin-on fries and lovely salad garnish. Husband had fish goujons with tartare sauce baguette. Also delish!
